I still can't see why TLW is valued at such a premium to PMO.
Not much comment here regarding Catcher oil being sold at a premium to Brent. Implies $75+ Plenty of cash rolling in. Current total production 90k per day! Just need Oil to hold above $75 for rest of the year.
Ros, That's just a verbatim copy from their March FY results report. I would say that PMO would not allow CNE to brief on Catcher before them. I'm leaning towards a positive briefing on Catcher tomorrow. If there was a delay it would be out of step with how the project has performed so far but anything is possible.
who said there is a delay?
It could also be $80!!
the $2.3b was stated before oil moved above $70. I was working on a figure close to $2b maybe just under. There maybe one or two more disposals that may help. On the flip side I hope they buy MOL's Catcher assets and that won't be cheap.
I tend to use 365 days. The important point is to get close to the avge. price rec'd, bearing in mind the gas / oil split and their hedged prices. Having said all that I think you are close enough. I think we are all expecting a substantial re rating when Catcher is at plateau.
Sage, great minds think alike
Here's a question. If you had 3.2b in cash and had to spend it in the oil sector. Would you buy a) All of TLW or b) Four Premier Oil's ? Interesting how the market throws up pricing anomalies like this.
We never know what Trump will do. We do know that the Saudi's are working to prevent a collapse in Oil in the future. It's the Brits (us) that are selling oil down. It seemed quite happy near $76 until our boys hit the screens. We must not lose sight of Catcher impact v.soon. TD was very happy with oil at $65 remember. So, with a $10 improvement and Catcher plateau production imminent things must be pretty rosy at PMO, certainly compared to this time last year.
It's not where it opens that matters, more where it closes.
Oiluser, That has not been RNS'd yet has it?
I don't think you can rely on accurate info from USA re Inventories, What they are not saying is by how much the SPR is being depleted. A bit like Gordon Brown selling our gold reserves a few years ago. Out of interest a similar build to this week last year. Next week should be -5m barres on that basis. If not they are lying on Trumps orders!
Supply and demand are driving the Oil market now, Trump can do nothing. PMO is likely to be 100p this time next week!
What can Trump do to reduce POO. Not much in my view except empty the SPR and I'm not sure there will be many takers, there have been complaints from customers that it contained too much sulphur. Yes Oil is a good way for Russia to hurt USA if they want. We are used to high oil prices.
Saur, you are cantankerous, were you born in the 40's by any chance?
Scoutlouie Angle apparently refused to talk to a prospective bidder around 3 yrs ago, the bid was too low ball AN said. The press at the time said the bid was 2. Given where we are now I suspect any offer below 5 would not be taken seriously. Some people claim that in a private chat with the FD a starting point of 20 was mentioned. That would be nice. I, myself struggle to see who would buy the company when they will likely be able to buy a license to use Parsortix, or buy the machines required at much less cost.
Shirley, Totally agree with you. This share is very frustrating. Market makers take advantage which is why it drops after any jump that is not driven by financial news. I would say that Dermot Keane would not have invested millions of his own money for no reason. I also look at Exact Sciences, listed on Nazdaq. They have one application that is FDA approved and are valued at $5b. I can't understand that myself. The read across to AGL is about 30 per share. That is for one application that is lab based and therefore growth restricted. We will have numerous FDA approved applications in, I suspect a couple of years time. We have an amazing growth potential especially with the new downstream tool bolted on. Some people say that we will be taken out on FDA approval, I don't know really. But the 2, equating to 234m market cap seems a tad light compared to Exact Sciences. I do know that the compny uses them as an example of what can be achieved.
