Afternoon everyone, I just bought another 500,000 shares to top up and I think that now takes me to the maximum I can put in, as there are no guarantees in life or the stock market! However, if my sums are correct and this share ever reaches a £2 billion market cap, I will be able to retire considerably earlier that I thought I could. It would literally be a life changer. HFB, I don’t know if my £2 billion market cap figure is at all realistic at any point in the future if all the stars align? Best wishes, J.
Thanks for such a comprehensive reply, HFB, it is much appreciated. I am even happier now that I invested. I’d be ecstatic if we hit 1p. Any higher than that and we enter the realms of what I’d consider to be mind-boggling amounts of money. Wishing us all the best. J.
Hi HFB, I bought a few Boil shares for the first time this week after doing some research and reading your very informative posts. One question - the $64 million dollar question - is what price, in your opinion, could this share reach if all the stars align? All the best, J.
Caution got the better of me and I sold for a 111 per cent profit. Banked my original stake plus a bit of profit. Thanks for your opinion guys. Now I have sold it probably go into the stratosphere! Ha! But I still have one million shares which now have cost me nothing. Best of luck to all.
That makes sense - the only problem is that any increase would have been doubled if I hadn’t sold. But is greed the enemy of profit? I may let it ride for a little while and see what happens but I am still stuck in my dilemma. As I said, there are worse dilemmas to have. It sounds like you made some pretty serious money here in the past which is excellent!
Hi am fortunate that I have this dilemma - I am up 100 percent since I first invested on March 31. I could sell half my holding and get back my original stake and leave the rest to free carry. What makes me consider selling half is the possibility of a placing. Do I leave it all and risk a drop because of a placing or sell half now for a 100 per cent profit?
Slider 17, many people who sold/derisked have held these shares for many years so I wouldn’t call it selling at the first opportunity. And buying and selling shares is what makes a stock market a stock market - the buying and selling of stocks in a marketplace to make money and take profits. I feel the terms diamond hands and paper hands are disingenuous - I think many people who say others should have “diamond hands” are selling along with the rest of us. Everyone has their own strategy and acceptable risk levels and sometimes take a profit when they feel the time is right. Some are more honest about that than others. And for every seller there is a buyer. But of course, you know all this, I am sure.
Thanks, Pandy2. I feel sorry for the guy in the early days of Bitcoin when they were worth a few pence each who used some to buy two pizzas. At today’s Bitcoin valuation, he paid 440 million dollars for them. So, at least we’re not at that level. Yet!
Cheers OilBeast, yes, I imagine very few people manage to sell at the very top but I think I sold in the foothills. Never mind. Profit is profit. Wishing you all the best on your journey to the top of this particular mountain. Enjoy the view!
I am sad to say I derisked on the way up over the past few weeks and because I reduced my holding by so much, I eventually sold the lot. I am now suffering the absolute inverse of buyer’s remorse. I have made money elsewhere on the profits from 88e but nothing like what I would have made had I sat on my hands. Depending on what happens overnight, I may get back in but I fear, for me at least, this ship has sailed. Godspeed to all who are still aboard.
Hi everyone, I bought a million shares this morning at just under 0.12 after doing quite well over at 88e for the past couple of weeks. I took some profit and put it in here for the first time. I have read a few negative things about this share but have bought in around what seems to be at a 52 week low so am obviously hoping the price goes north from here. Good luck to all invested here.
JonesRichard, please stop pulling figures out of thin air. You used to do this on the SXX board, constantly and look how that all turned out. As far as I can see, you have zero knowledge about 88e so here is some friendly advice: if you know nothing, say nothing.
