The Bahamas is an independent nation and generally resents any US attempts of dictating policy. 2)The JR is over, if Bahamas pulled the plug now they would be sued, they have a contract with BPC and P1 is currently being drilled they won’t stop it. The hearing this week will change nothing.
Justice Petra Hanna-Weekes is due to rule tomorrow, on Christmas Eve, whether to grant permission for the action by Waterkeepers Bahamas and the Coalition to Protect Clifton Bay (Save the Bays) to proceed.
