I think that depends on how long you're willing to hold the shares. In my opinion, pretty high, but you I think unlikely for at least another quarter, probably not for the rest of the financial year. (Full disclosure I'm a long term holder currently averaging at 4.3)

They have been discussing building a tidal barrage across the seven since the victorian era. The sedimentary implications alone make it unlikely (I personally think it's a great idea), not to mention shipping. But it's the sort of scheme that wouldn't even get started for decades even if it got the go ahead. We're far more likely to see a revival of the tidal lagoon projects further along the coast in the Newport/Cardiff/Swansea regions. Then we are for this to ever happen.

Not a replacement for the Chairman (yet), but maybe the replacement Director will be able to shake things up a bit and bring Atlantis back on track!

Honestly I expected a bigger uptick in this given the prevalence and semi-focus on offshore wind in the governments net zero strategy. UKW has the opportunity to be a major player going forward in this with government support.

Having read the full report, there is very little if anything in there on tidal. The mention of Nova is part of a case study about accessing government funds. There is no hint at even a semblance of a support structure for tidal or any shape of a plan for incorporating it into the UK sector. A lot of the mentions of tidal and marine are actually talking about aspects of wind or biodiversity and compared to the 47 for nuclear, 78 for biomass, 119 for wind, and 504 mentions of hydrogen the 7 of tidal doesn't really show much. Personally i think this is a massive missed opportunity, and we may see another country overtake us in being the world leader in tidal.

Unfortunately, having read the report now, it only mentions the word tidal 7 times and marine 11 and most of those are referring to use for wind, and the closest it gets to even mentioning tidal power beyond a passing mention to small scale supplies for coastal communities is "We also have one of the best ocean energy resources in the world and we continue to explore the role of marine technologies in net zero". There is no discussion of supporting of even utalising the sector or technology which is a massive missed opportunity.

Brought in again to bring my average down below 5p. Im still holding out on Uskmouth and believe in the turbines. I might be being stupid, but I plan to hold these for the long term and hope to get up above 30 in around 2 years.

I think this change could bring about positive things, his background would indicate he has the expertise to push forward with their stronger and more profitable tidal work.
