Like others here, I brought in at nearly double where we are today, but I doubled down twice on the last two raises, and have just sold off enough to cover almost all of my investment! I plan to let the rest ride for quite a lot longer and have moved some of my shares over into my SIPP. I've set a sell for about half of what I have left in the 500 region, but even with the rate we've been going, I don't see us reaching that for a couple of years! If I'm remembering correctly, isn't something like 70% of the proposed capacity dependent on ITM equipment/tec? This is huge knews!

The current reporting mechanism from central government means that they only have to match your total annual electricity demand to the total renewables generated. There are ongoing discussions around changing to half hourly matching now so many people have smart meters

Having more than doubled down on the last raise, I'm out now, (other than a nominal holding) having set a couple of auto-sell orders, as I need the money for an upcoming house purchase. I've got plenty of warrants though, so will keep watching with interest as I might be able to get back in later this year! Good luck to all the other LTHs!

Other than a general dip in the stock market I can't understand why this is dropping. High oil and gas prices increase the need to invest in renewables and batteries, and then the existing batteries and turbines are going to make a lot more money per kWh. Surely that makes the case for investment?

The French energy strategy. It includes commercial tenders for 250 MW of tidal energy capacity to be awarded by 2030. Most fixed turbine approaches would struggle in the estury as it has an incredibly high sediment content, this is what has stopped a lot of things happening in the past in this area. From what I remember from previous investigations, barrage or lagoon approaches were considered to be better suited to this environment (although there would be significant ecological, erosional, and sedimentational implications and complications). However, with the advance in techonolgy for floating turbines, I wouldn't be surprised if something like orbital marine worked quite well here.

I was just looking at the Proteus share raise, and they have a Q&A on the page. They were asked about turbines they have under construction, and talked about things for Japan and France, and the potential in Alaska, but the thing I thought was most interesting, being a LTH on SAE, is this

"We have significant projects in the UK, though we can't share specifics at this time due to confidentiality. With over 20 GWh of energy production in the UK, we are confident in our continued growth and leadership in the tidal energy space."

Maybe they've finally appointed someone to a comms post?

All we have to go on is the RNS they released shortly before the suspension which said "Accordingly, SAE is targeting the publication of the 2022 Annual Report as soon as the auditor completes their final processes which is expected to occur during July 2023.". Based on that if we aren't up and going again a week into August, then I will start worrying.

Being an optimist here, but if the price gets high enough that it becomes worth exercising options from the last raise, it could unlock a sizable chunk of extra investment! Which itself could push back the time of the next funding call
