Last week I had the chance to look into "Opioid" epidemic that has rocked states over recent years. The number of patients started climbing up and up YOY from 2006 to all the way in 2014 when it finally hit the ceiling.
In 2012, DOJ along with other state departments started looking into so-called misconduct of pharma companies colluding with authorities (health officials etc.) that resulted in some abusing the system and over-prescribing. In some unfortunate cases, meds ended up with minors that really got the attention of states and they all started complaining demanding a big wider investigation into the matter. However, all these companies deny any wrong doing and are contesting on legal front. To me, it seems the issue is much wider and isn't just connected to indivoir.
Long story short, they say top 6 US pharma companies (Wallgreens, Mkesson, CVS health, Amgen, Celgene etc.) supplied almost 76 billion pills between 2006 and 2012. There are hundreds of lawsuits into various states that are now being looked into as one against hundreds of pharma companies which unfortunately includes Indivior.
Some experts suggest these type of cases are often long winded, complex and are difficult to ascertain responsibility.
The best course of action (DOJ intention) would be settle for a sensible reimbursement amount and call it a day.
This recent dramatic SP drop over last 8-10 days is way overdone IMO as DOJ has to be seen doing justice with everyone. Given much bigger war chests of big pharma, it isn’t gonna be an easy win for DOJ IMHO…. GLA

Just read the official judgement on DOJ website and they have explicitly discussed events from 2010 to 2014 matters affecting marketing of the drug, preventing other generic competitors from entering the market, stopping suboxone tablet in 2012 and profiting by using here to help scheme as a means to act as a bridge between doctors and patients.
I am no lawyer but it is evident that most of the charges in subpoena have been addressed by RB . The only thing they didn't make reference to was wire fraud so lets see.
Anyhow, who knows what will really happen but its reassuring to know that some of the bad news is out of the way.
If drug is not as effective then what's the point of an FDA and why its still being used? I think they just want to milk as much money as possible.... if fda have concerns then stop the sale of it... duh
If this is really shorts then they are playing with fire... it has all the ingredients to double in a session on a positive news.... and I am not trying to pump this beauty but if anyone is shorting this at this price then they are either very smart or very stupid as it could be the short burn of the year!
