I think they/we need to rethink energy tarriffs and tax waste energy. That would make sense.

Its huge if policy aligns with Green Hydrogen it will be a very long term deal. Those FIDs need to be loved and backed by policy.

So perhaps FIDS can or cannot be signed based on a govt policy. Now we are talking politics not economics.

The gas storage issue was a policy by our govt at that time. I am not sure the rationale 'blame the Centrica? for gas prices? Its a hot potato that nobody wants to catch .

To get a FID you need a govt policy. Its politics so often not rational.

Weirdly the replacement of Mitch by I think a senator from South Dakota might skew that somewhat. Those green subsidies from the previous admin.. are entrenched in the Mid West. I am not sure Don can simply take them away. FIDs move on policy. Policy in the EU is different from the States. The only decision as Deng Xiao Peng said. 'I dont care if the cat is black or white as long as it catches the mouse'. I guess we will find out soon.

Its a nightmare scenario for many manufacturers. This time it doesn't seem to be a negotiation tactic. We will see over the coming years. I am here really because the price has stabilised and I can see an upside. I think the risk is already discounted into the price {cash}. I do appreciate your reasoning, it is well thought out.
