I do hope that all the talk about shorts has just been talk and none of you have any shorts open, I don't like anyone losing money. But if you do have shorts open I'd suggest you think about closing them soon.

It's very possible that the announcement RNS will be in the daytime and could happen soon.

Ok so let's talk about Volume and Major shareholders.

There are currently 1,465,226,799 shares, in issue. And only 2 major shareholders which aren't nominee accounts.

MC Strategies AG holding 10.6%

Francesco Gardin holding 2.0%

So 12.6% of shares are not in public hands,

That means 87.4% are on the open market with no restrictions to trading them.

That's 1.28billion shares held by Private investors.

And since the RNS last week we have seen and average of roughly 17m traded each day. Which is around 1.32% of the open market shares ( 1.16% of all shares).

With just over 1% of shares trading each day we have seen a swing up from 0.6p to 1.2p (100%) then a swing back to 0.7p ending up about 15% up.

This is huge swings on very low volume.

This clearly shows that the vast majority of PIs with the shares here are just holding. They aren't trading on swings, they aren't dumping. They are waiting for something bigger that a 100% swing up.

It also shows that when something does get announced there's not going to be many buying opportunities.

So anyone on the sidelines is going to struggle to get in.

And anyone with shorts open is going to get wrecked.

Off course all this id just my humble opinion...

But it's interesting to see that hardly anyone is actually selling the shares they hold currently...

Although I have seen mine reported the wrong way and also delayed until after hours for no reason imo.

If it happens I'm guessing it's a rarity.

I wouldn't rule out either news today or a potential takeover.

Fridays can be a good day to sign a deal and knock of early to the pub... so we may get an intra day RNS on that.

The idea of a company wanting to buyout this technology isn't ludicrous either and would likely be a good payday for those invested.

I still believe news will come before the AGM and hope it's strong enough to justify FGs bonus, and increase.

If it is then I'm not sure where the SP could be but 2p + doesn't seem impossible...

I am considering going and it would be interesting to ask the justification on FG's increased payments and the big bonus,

How can they be justified if sales have not materialised yet?

I still expect they are going to announce before the AGM, these things can take a while to be signed though.

Steve actually told us yesterday that he wasn't invested.

He used less direct words but basically said he is waiting until news to buy in. Then said I interpreted it as him not being invested.

He's obviously trying to reduce the price here, either to buy in at a level near the price before last weeks RNS, or because he has a short open, probably from before that RNS and he doesn't want to close it.

Either way he has still brought some reasonable discussion in at times, even if it's all negatively spun.

In general take everything here with a pinch of salt, slice of lemon and shot of Tequila. 😁

There's going to be an RNS before the AGM and I'm betting it will give details of an agreement being reached.

This will boom when that comes. 🚀

The volatility on such low volume shows how little shares are actually available to trade with.

Any hint of good news and this will go up very quickly.

Even if there's no shorters on this it will rise substantially.

If there's been some shorters trying to sell and make this current dip then they will get caught out as it goes back up.

Hope that if anyone is shorting they have the smarts to be the first one to buy the shares they need back now while they can, before they get hit harder as others do the same.

Fastest finger first time when news is announced or just close it now 😁

Which makes a big difference.

I'm still unsure if 2.5% charge is good.

If I can increase your about by 10% for no other costs except my method I'd expect a faire chunk of the 10% although I guess that would lower for bigger miners.

Ok, Steve, I'm trying to understand your estimation so let's break it down.

To clarify:

P/E ratio = Share Price / Earnings per Share

• QBT Methods are used to mine 1% to 5% of all bitcoin

1.3m bitcoin was mined in 2024, and this is decreasing to half every 4 years. So let's say 1m in the first year of QBT being used.

That's 10k to 50k bitcoin let's work with 2.5% (25k)

• QBT percentage: 2.5%

Not really sure what you mean here but if you mean they only get 2.5% of the value for the extra bitcoin they generate than that's not going to be a deal that's signed up for.

I think what you are getting at is that the method is used by 1-5% of the current market, and only increase that section by 10% so let's roll with that.

So the 25k bitcoin would be increased by 2.5k

Now with a reasonable fair deal 50% of that would be QBT value.

That's currently £98m value. Let's say £90m earnings as the current expenses probably won't increase drastically.

So £90m net divided by 1.5b shares is an EPS of 6.2p

SP/EPS = 33 (as you suggested)

SP = 33 x 6.2p = £2.04

Now my heads not able to understand with the little details you have shared how you get to 0.3p-1.6p ...

But also the P/E you suggest is not going to work as this is a time limited market and it's more likely to be a lot lower considering.

But even a very low P/E of 2 would price at 12p and even I think that's pretty high tbh.

I dunno it's late and maybe my calculations are out, but any deal where QBT gets share of the increase seems like this could be wild.

I'd appreciate someone else looking over the numbers as my head is frazzled from a lot of things atm and I must have missed something...

I did jump in last week, have 339k shares average around 1p took 3 buys to get them all. Could have been out at 1.2 but really feel this is going much higher.

Let's hope the "commercial" discussions result in a good "commercial" agreement soon.

Looks to be gradually pushing back up again.

Maybe if anyone is shorting this they are running out of options to get more on the short train.

Could turn around pretty quickly if a few decent buys come in.

Then if there have been shorters I think they'll be scrambling wish will push it up again.

But looks like we did dip into your range a little bit.

I'm still sure this is moving more than it should based on the trades being reported, but maybe that's just me 😁

It's a shame that it's nearly lost all the gains, but shows most people buying on the RNS last week were traders and don't want to wait a couple weeks.

Big investors, in fact any company poking to purchase from QBT will wait until proven tests rather than the speculative % thrown around at the start of development.

The recent news has shown that methods have been adjusted and simplified to be used easier and they have drastically reduced expectations, with method A only at 3%

I see this 3% as a minimum guarantee now.

And the potential clients still see this very low % being good (as per recent news).

The likelihood is that the performance can vary and that they have to sell based on minimum to begin with.

It's also likely that the best agreements would be profit shares.

So if it's run for a month and average increase is 8% then half of that extra would be for QBT and half kept by the miner.

This method would be a fair way to split the gains, and is becoming more regular method of valuation on sales.

It would also mean that revenue is delayed so any agreement that would generate revenue at the end of Summer would be very close to being signed now.

I'm looking forward to seeing an announcement with more detail, although doubt we will get all the details.

It's always good to have open discussions and dialogues, where people can understand the other side.

To be fair, a lot of the talk here is pretty good.

Couple of rampers, but they pop up and go.

Couple of long term extra pessimistic neigh sayers...

But most are realistic with differing opinions.

I think someone keeps saying things are priced in, but imo this is the "chance" of a deal is priced in.

So if that is 10% then it's priced at that currently, and when that deal gets announced it would be worth 10x current price as it's no longer only a 10% chance.

Fingers crossed a good couple months with more than one sale 😁
