Yes, will hold for now, think your right there.
Just had a wee top up.
Thinking of bailing here, not good enough..
If they know what is in the other three quarters of the site and it turns out to be huge, a takeover could be on the cards, Very likely.
There will be more gas to come, then there's that oil to come as well.
I remember in the past in Solo days that high pressure was present and mentioned then in their findings. I also remember that the oil shows they found were considered to have migrated there from a possible much larger source. Hope that helps, and think this field may surprise a lot of people and be bigger than thought, if not, why are the Zubairs there?
Top man Crusty
I said it was there ages ago..https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S2949891023001756
It was called WET and was not really WET'S fault it never got off the ground, it was the South African government that refused to give them a licence .
That it? !!
No sign.
Yes gas first, oil second and huge finds for both. I have a feeling about this one like I did with Emerald, fingers crossed.
When I was in Solo many years ago i was told that a small oil find had probably 'migrated' to where it was found, i think in the region of 135bopd kind of thing. The larger well was probably in that basin somewhere as the oil found probably had migrated due to geological movements. Going by a past success i had in a company called Emerald Energy I can say if that reservoir is found that could be a total game changer even with the percentage we have. North Sea gas was found first then the oil, important to remember this. They say lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place.. don't you believe that for a second. As far as posters go we simply don't know till that drilling is finished. I remember the first drilled well with Solo was at one point classified as a duster, the man who changed that was Neil Ritson who seemingly wanted it drilled a little further down, and hey presto there was the gas find. We might get a pleasant shock and experience with this one yet. So fingers crossed.
