Guys, that's not how we roll here, thats what the Boohoo board is for.
No need for name calling.
Anyways, from what I can gather, you are both aligned and both agree that Topshop is NOT a write-off?
Shake hands and play nice :)
I agree, I think it was part of the sell off.seems extream but hey ho.
And I appreciate helpful input Searcher, there are many very knowledgeable people on here and that includes yourself.
However, I asked exactly the same question a couple of weeks back and was accused of deramping and thinking up imaginative scenarios in my head??
The fact remains, GCM could get removed from the equation so very easily.
Some people on here don't like to be realistic.
I reckon this is our friend's over the pond selling this off.
Who knows why.
This need news or good results or its headed lower than our lowest lows unfortunately.
Wouldn't surprise if shorts have increased either as let's face it, nothing substantial has changed here.
@newbof as a matter of interest, sitting on their hands to buy after the placing?
I'm still trying figure out the point of waiting as you will end up with the same amount of shares either way.
If you hold ten shares now and they're converted to 20 shares is the same as buying the 20 shares after the placing.
What am I missing.
Thanks for the link Crowfoot.
Is this just not a big loan in the form of crude oil that will need to be paid back eventually 🤔
Also, unless they burn crude oil at the coal power plants already on line, I don't see what good this is.
Do they have oil power plants that will evade the country of blackouts.
Agreed.
Also, will they even be allowed to float in London?
Shein are definitely a company to keep an eye on, I just don't see them dominating every corner of the sector.
For me, if they are refused to float on London then that's when a very real possibility of a buy out will ensue.
An older article but a decent comparison.

I still beleive Shein are the primark of the online world, whereas Asos have earned a reputation for somewhat higher quality garments.
Would you see Princess Kate wearing Shein??
Yes Shein are huge, they have the capital but do they have the brands and quality?
Not to mention the ethical production processes?
I'd like to see Asos open more physical stores myself.
