We should be thanking them really. We have a few here and there but look what happened when a gang of them turned up. A few days later the sp flew out of the blocks and had a great 3 days.

Is this a sign again? Is it about to turnaround over the next few days? The more that arrive the more likely we will start heading up again.

European stocks traded mixed in the premarket on Monday, pointing towards a turbulent session with investors awaiting news regarding Russia's coronavirus vaccine which has begun production.

Over the weekend, Bank of England's chief economist Andy Haldane insisted the United Kingdom's economy is about to make a fast recovery from the crisis, while the European Union approved sanctions against Belarus over violating democratic values.

The DAX slipped 0.07% at 7:30 am CET, while on the other hand, the FTSE 100 gained 0.05% at the same time. The euro advanced 0.11% against the dollar to sell for $1.18554 at 7:31 am CET, and the pound stood flat versus the greenback to go for $1.30875 a minute later.

A short squeeze occurs when a stock or other asset jumps sharply higher, forcing traders who had bet that its price would fall, to buy it in order to forestall even greater losses. Their scramble to buy only adds to the upward pressure on the stock's price.

Hi Put, Moola. Hopefully the upward trajectory carries on this week. I just feel short to mid term we need to see figures before this starts to really climb. But let’s what Lady Cine deals us this week. Never dull that’s for sure.

been able to predict this stock since April to be fair. As soon as it hit 101 for the second time it dropped. When good news came out it dropped. When we delayed opening the sp went up. I just find it so hard I to predict. That was a massive rise last week and I’m not sure if it can continue.

Evening Dean. I had to go out all afternoon so set a buy at 1.89, DOH! Most other airlines did exactly what I thought would happen here, drop more into the close. Impressed to see it perform well in the light of this news. I will be watching on Monday. JBS

Hi Dean. Yeah IAG has also been on my watchlist, kinda missed the last drop as I was all in here. Taken some out this week though so I’m watching IAG today. I feel it might drop a little more into the close but I see all airlines will carry on with their upward trend from Monday. BUT, that is if no other countries join the silly club this weekend. The weekend is always a tricky one for me, so much can happen in those 2 days, positive or negative.

Totally agree re covid imo, it will be long gone soon.

Deanmck was chatting on here about airline stocks in the evening. More bad news there last night so there might be the odd bargain. Unless it was all priced in on the various drops yesterday. We are certainly used to similar volatility being invested here. GLA

Tend to agree with purchase. Yes mid to longer term we are going up. But hey this is Cine and she does what she wants so the new base level could be 62, bloody hope so. GLA
