Just my own town opposite the main supermarket in Windsor they are building a huge Aldi that in itself tells me that aldi believe they can take a proportion of tescos market.
Tescos have tried to expand in Europe they bought 600 shops in poland only to be beaten down by carrefour and the Portuguese firm biedronka in the end to save face they sold out but kept just 20 shops there. Tesco has saturated its only true market the UK its biggest market share was in 2014 31% of the market that also reflects the SP at the time.
Tesco for me is fighting just to keep its market size both in retail and insurance. Just do a comparison on car insurance with tesco to see they are not cheap.
The share price for me will start on a downward trend next year and will test the all-time low of 178 .I believe it could return temporarily 300 this year but apart from the dividend its long term future is spiralling down.

Just been doing a bit of research as I like buying at rock bottom prices.
The problem is growth can see lidl and aldi competing heavily with tesco in the next few years so that really is only the dividend that is attractive and apparently temporary cancelled that a few years . This drop is basically correction of future outlook . Can see an upside in the next few months but think long term its on a downward spiral.

I'm taking a position now . Not full in fundamentals still in place but could drop further with the weak hands over coming days.

I have ishare global clean energy EtF plus the vangard 500 etf looking at the LSES to invest it seems to have outperformed both of them in the last 12 months . My concern is the future with uk shares not all companies have published accounts post covid that some of the companies SP has not factored this in. any thoughts please !!!

I was talking to a colleague earlier in the week who had many shares but he resigned from ever buying ever again. When asked he said "years ago if you wanted to sell shares you spent half a day on the phone to your broker. With so many platforms and just a click on a Iphone from just the slightest negativity the shares slump. I'm beginning to think that for the ordinary invester this has become one of the main issues . Marvellous technology but I believe it's become a huge factor.

The world has changed over the past 6-7 months my years of investment and research wiped out in a couple of months I'm down 23k with these shares but overall my stress levels and well being have taken a tremendous hit.
I have resigned myself that i really don't need this anymore the ft100 has also been watered down over the years with constant reissues also with 47% of all shares held by institutions I believe that the market is manipulated . Do they purposely employ halfwit directors in order to deliberately drive a business down and in this case rolls Royce . Why have they allowed a great company to perform so badly without acting . I have no doubt the government will intervene and than the vultures no doubt again will reappear. Rinse wash recycle

Covid effects the old and people with underlying health conditions I only go on facts . The flu has killed more people in the UK since Feb this year and they never closed an airport because of flu. Blind obvious This manufactured disease is for one purpose only to destroy the economies of the world no doubt about that so in the future they can create a new World order that the elitist crave .

I feel absolutely numb reading your post I'm so sorry. Paid a huge price for incompetence management treating this great company like a boys club
