I really dont get how people struggle to understand this. Lets say we didn't use the spin out model and had a few projects which we 100% owned and raised cash via placings. Theres no guarantee we will find anything. Then what? Spinning off the asset allows for a slice of any potential upside whilst managing the downside risk. Also allows us to have exposure to all these projects which we simply wouldn't have without this model.
If you've done the research and followed the companies progress, then surely you'd know about all the work thats been happening on the ground and how quickly PJ moves. Did you expect a major discovery and a multibag overnight? do you realise how much work has to happen and how long things can take in exploration? Dont confuse your impatience with poor performance from an investment.
Thats not exactly accurate is it Loch. ECR were around 4p in a very toppy market, as we saw with almost all other AIM co's in this sector. And they've all now seen a sharp pullback like we've seen here. So whilst i agree there have been other negative factors at play with ECR its not quite as simple as saying we've come down from 4p purely because of the placing etc.
