The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Re-list should happen in September.
You have two options... Take a 50% loss. Or Hope that the company that helped you take a sizeable hit will be the same company to deliver on all of the current developments. Bear in mind, as a shareholder on the day of suspension, you will have an option to average down. The question is, do we have the courage to spend more...
Don't worry about it. Of all of the posters, I genuinely feel your annoyance as you have seemingly held the faith all along here. All the best.
That's a shame, I thought I was able to take my cash and run a week sooner...
Could you direct us to this information please? The only information I could find still points to the 30th Jan. In any case, nearly there. Hopefully.
I appreciate your candour. I was thinking 'CRAP'.
You may have interpreted slightly differently to intended... "Expected size of offer (M): 2.4" That is the size of offer TO BE RAISED.
Where did you find this update please? I have looked at specific link you have provided but cannot locate anything other than what you have provided referencing the 22nd December...
Going on everything we know about the recent updates, I would suggest that, if it does not re-list by Christmas, then the financing may have not gone as planned and we could well be facing the worst case scenario. If it does re-list by Christmas, then it will not be only baby Jesus's cradle which will be celebrated...
Well, I take comfort knowing, it cannot get any worse...
Hello there, Where did you find this date referenced please? I have been waiting for September all along and then into October for an update. The first reference I have seen of this date is from you. Please can you point me in right direction. Much appreciated..
I think your comment pretty much substantiates what everyone knows at the moment. The company has historically not been the best with providing forward guidance but in the short term, they have given reason to suggest that re-listing could be in October. However, it must be highlighted that this suggested re-listing has also been expected earlier in the year- albeit with some obstacles which prevented re-listing. Right now, I expect re-listing in October but am also prepared for this company to miss this deadline again. So, I am cautiously optimistic because it is my only option in a suspended share and with that being said, I have also come to terms with a 100% loss also. I hope that helps.
For reference - I will also be sticking with your view. :(
For me, with the astronomical dilution, I personally have had to accept what I perceive to be a complete lack of potential now. My break even is the same as yours it seems. My negative sentiment is the same as yours it seems.
So, although completely pointless given the lack of trading capabilities, following the consolidation, I have lost all of my previously predominantly positive outlook. Specifically, I believe it to be at this point completely un-realistic to see a SP of £1. Well, at that price, I make approx 300%. I am not here to 'deramp' but rather am pleading for someone to tell me I am misunderstanding - which I do not believe I am. Obviously 300% would be great at £1, but as I said, I feel it quite un-realistic. After the dilution of shares, it equally diluted my hopes. Please someone convince me I am wrong and stupid.
Guys, Spare a thought for Rog' On the 7th June - Alecto is also pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Williams to the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. I am currently trying to identify where I stand on the spectrum of hopeful to naivety. Ultimately, We don't have a choice anyway. So, maybe naively hopeful that they would not have appointed someone of apparent significance if they knew or expected to be releasing this morning's RNS. Things can only get better they say! Or completely liquidated...

'However, in the event that the Acquisition is delayed or does not complete, the Company would need to raise additional funds in July 2017 in order to continue as a going concern in light of its current status as an exploration and development business without any income generating production assets" We already know that they have started producing at Mowana. "Shareholders should note, however, that the directors have a high degree of confidence that the Acquisition will complete and will be a success, subject to completion of the requisite fundraising and shareholder approval." The Company's Annual General Meeting will be held 30 June 2017 at 4:00 p.m. In my view, everything that is currently happening is exactly what we want to see. Except for re-listing so far of course!!!
I like to try to balance my optimism for this share with a pinch of possible realism because I don't want to be curled up in a corner should a worst case scenario occur. Yes, they are putting out respective forecasts which can be indicative of a development. What may not be perceived as positive development however is the downgraded forecast upside in comparison to prior to suspension. In any case, a moving share price I believe is number one on everyone's priority list. The price thereafter will be indicative of other shareholders levels of optimism - if at all.
Thank you for the compliment. Don't be so hard on yourself. I understood what you wrote and that is all that matters. 12th May: The company reckons it will have the document published early next month (June), which would hopefully lead to readmission within the next six to eight weeks. 12th May + MAX 8 weeks = Week commencing 10th July on initial RNS we should be re-listed by... Additionally, with all of the developments since suspension, you surely cannot be ignorant to the potential benefits this can have on re-admittance? Are you so desperate for your money that you cannot be prepared to take what you can probably perceive as additional risk in the meantime, if the end result is a higher share price? This was and still is a speculative investment and right now, with the respective broker recommendations now coming out as a "speculative buy" we are moving in the right direction. This means the respective appointed broker is possibly readying for re-admittance.
