What's the point?

If I for example purchased 1 million shares at yesterday's closing price that would cost me £12300. And sold for 5% I would make 615 quid. What's the point? If I hold and the shares go up one penny I make £10,000 profit so who in the right mind would want 5% not me.

I use HL. I just took a look at today's chart and at (time) 1602 the mid price was 0.68 this held for a few seconds. HL closing SP is 0.57

Can anyone explain this?
