In anticipation of topline results....but got smacked down by Amphion and then it happened again by an unconfirmed institutional investor who carried on selling through topline.....leaving the SP lower than it coulda woulda shoulda and them needing to raise cash. As I say it’s a good long term play....
well it’s positive news about the new Chair as he has a proven track record in a broad scope of activity thats closely aligned with Polarean. It was obviously not a smooth succession as they still have to appoint another NED. Looks like their positions became untenable after the release of P3 news was torpedoed by an institutional seller which is probably a consequence of the Amphion calamity either directly or indirectly. I’m sure they still need to raise a reasonable amount of cash before any regulatory authority grants approval. So I can see it sitting between 20p to 35p for a few months unless some fund decides to jump on board. The medium to long term prospects are good.
Well I will give you my thoughts on the share price. It was not mostly retail that sold on topline data. It was an institutional investor....the drop occurred between 08.00 and 08.10 ( within the 15 minutes delay for most retail investors.) I suspect in the next day or week we will see an announcement of a finance deal to an institutional investor who sold to do a private placing. Screwing over the share price as a result.. If this is true then what do I think about this? I’m happy the company was able to secure funds to keep going.....but if what I say is true (I don’t know with certainty) then all recent shareholders have been screwed by Mgt who must have known this would happen. They could have raised at a higher SP....but hey ho they miscalculated the impact of an institutional investor dumping a ton of stock....Anyone buying in above 29 cents has been mugged off to allow fresh financing.....so I say again great technology and as usual investing in these small micro cap stocks as about as risky as it gets for retail shareholders.....Is this is a great long term bet? I believe it is so I’m holding but won’t invest more on hyped speculative inflection points that will only benefit institutional investors....good luck
I’ve never seen a company with zero shorts, a competitor with a market cap 10x larger and positive results in a pivotal phase three study be so overwhelmingly flat post trial data. Either they knew they had a big seller or are negotiating a big financing or they have failed to spread the positive investment message. Best thing that could happen now is a buyout.....failing that hold in anticipation of a 2021 approval. Good luck everyone.
Let’s see where this lands at close of play. I would imagine with p3 data released you would have institutional traders knocking on the door of compliance with a view to either taking or indeed adding....that takes time to get done. It’s disappointing that we are back to less than last week. If they have an IR guy then he needs to start an urgent beauty parade and I’m a little surprised we have not seen a stronger demand for the stock.....

Hartlepoolbob....Of course they are, I agree with your point but equally most of the time small investors are usually on the receiving end of games played by professionals on the assumption of anticipated news. So whilst I appreciate that things are often outside the control of us I prefer to invest as much in the reliability and integrity of the Mgt team as much as I do in the efficacy or performance of their product or service. So as I say we are still within an acceptable timeframe but if it goes another couple of weeks then I will trust Mgt less than I do now. This despite a likely positive outcome in the trial.... So i’m minded to buy more on news rather than the expectation of news, if you can understand where I’m coming from.
I disagree with that point a little. Any external party contract is given by Polarean and it’s the CEO’s responsibility to see that the third party provider delivers data with integrity and in a timely manner.....so I’m trying to be objective by saying that it’s still within an acceptable timeframe but if this pushes out another couple of weeks then I would start to doubt any further estimates or statements made by senior Mgt.
It’s all about Mgt delivering the promised news....it’s obviously taking longer than we thought and so the momentum around the stock has dried up somewhat. It offers an excellent opportunity for investors. Hopefully we don’t have to wait several weeks for news.
I can see this drifting back until results....it’s a hold from me and I won’t add anymore until after news. From my experience missed timelines (if indeed there is one in this case) is an area of investing which seems to follow me everywhere I invest....unfortunately. Good luck all...
