I think this is an interesting exercise and if you are not interested then create your own conversation. I have said that the company are not in the game of gasifying wood at this stage but surely as the cost of units come down then there must be a point at which it may be of interest. Some people here erroneously believe there is enough plastic and tyres to produce all the fuel we need yet we can only produce a quarter of what is required for transportation and nothing to back up the grid and none left over to supplement the gas grid.

If the payback was three years on a �5m unit but up to ten times as profitable converting to Hydrogen then if the unit price came down to �3m how much would a kilo of Hydrogen cost using sawdust which was free of charge?

Thanks. I was thinking this opportunity could be truly gigantic if our feedstock range was wiidened. We are only talking of 100's of units not thousands and if each unit was only �3m or even less........

Hi Newboy, yes I agree. There is plenty of other low hanging fruit to use first such as used carpets. We get paid a gate fee which makes it far more profitable. I was just wondering whether we had a business model if there was no gate fee but the feedstock was free of charge

Given that this is so profitable would there be a viable business model using say biomass? Keith says they can quickly reduce the price down to 3mil or less per unit?

The number of buys has been similar to sells but the price has been worked down.
