The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
From RNS:
The Special Dividend will be funded from existing cash reserves and is expected to be paid on 13 May 2024 to SEED Shareholders on the register of members of the Company on 26 April 2024 (the "Record Date"), with the SEED Shares being marked ex dividend on 25 April 2024.
My understanding is that ‘investors who purchase stock before an ex-dividend date are entitled to the next dividend payment while those who purchase stock on or after an ex-dividend date are not’.
So to be entitled to this dividend you need to be holding shares on the close of the 24th, to be on the register for the 26th (The Record Date).
The sell off for those that only want the divi will be the 25th.
Correct me if I’m wrong, please.
For those of us still holding, all we can do is hope for a spike and try and get out, or sell at a loss. I'm so far down (regrettably), that I'm likely to just hold this until something maybe happens (as long as it's in the next 20 years). Although saying that I am tempted all the time to just get rid, as I HATE seeing this big red mistake staring at me in the face every time I open my portfolio. Sickening.
I don’t really understand why this share has those 2% drops out of nowhere on no news. I guess that’s the way it is these days.
It's on a (sausage) roll.
I would not be surprised if this sinks back down to the lows. Why would it not? Whenever there is a glimmer of sentiment it gets sold into, the only difference is the spikes get lower and smaller as the years pass. A 4p spike…it would be laughable if it wasn’t crushing.
It’s the whole market. In the years to come buying now will have been a gift.
And I’m sure there a many people with averages higher, but they don’t look or comment here. I bought £10k worth at 26p in 2018, and I’m embarrassed to admit what I had to throw into this to bring my average down to 13p, I was a different man then and in different place and financial position in my life. I may frame that certificate!
All true. I’m also not underestimating the herds ability to move an AIM share to silly heights. FFWD had been north of 20p a few times over the years (on really not much more than hope), and yes I hold out this hope because my average is actually around 13p. Maybe I’ll take some loss if ever this gets near that high in the future as a lesson for being a fool with my money! Good luck to all of us, may the stars align.
