What a f######g disappointing day.
I went on autotrader over the weekend and found my next car.
Got in touch with a builder to give me a quote for a loft conversion
Designed an orangery for the side of the house.
Even thought about buying the wife a new car.
Thank goodness I never mentioned it to her!!
If you make an offer to buy something that offer has to be tempting. As suggested earlier an offer of 3.5p I don't think would be quite tempting enough. It would however leave the door open for a second bidder, (if there is one) to come forward with a slightly higher bid, which may be tempting enough to accept. If IOG really want DELT they then would have to make an even higher bid. Perhaps better to make a higher more tempting bid in the first place and kill off any competition. Just a thought.
Holding shares in a company that is the target of a takeover is probably everyone's dream. A quick and swift profit.
In 25+ years of dabbling in shares it has happened to me only once.
Doe's anyone on here know how often it actually happens??
I tried to sell 2 million shares today as I want to invest in a share which I think will give a return sooner than Deltic. I must add I will return to Deltic as I think long term this is going to be a winner.
Point is, I could not sell them.
I have an account with H&L. No could not sell them.
Tried smaller amounts.
Only way was 2000 at a time.
Did not bother in the end.
Well OK lets imagine.
After she's parked her Aston Martin she maybe starts work about 10ish.
Turns on her computer and drinks a rather expensive coffee she purchased on the way in.
Maybe does her nails.
After that who knows . What do you think?
For a jolly perhaps we could come up with some ideas.
Stupid reply
