Thanks Jsp. I think it was me who originally posted about interesting results on Google for higgs / blockchain. The positive is the Higgs have invested a lot and no sign of selling. In my opinion the fact the CTEA are using Chainzy to host the app then I can't see a blockchain company buying CTEA, but then again we don't know how exactly CTEA's 'proprietary software' fits in. It's all a gamble at the moment.

@JSP123 were does it mention the Higgs have other interests in Blockchain ? I thought no one knew who they were.

Interesting little snippet in the article about team working on delivering medical results as well which I dont recall on the gov website.

I thought it was announced last month they are going the Google/ Apple route. If any ctea involvement I would have thought an update by now if the gov are talking about releasing it soon.

Be nice to see them using uk tech, but like a lot of big projects if the project managers get the top dogs involved ( google, apple etc ) then if it goes wrong they can side step some of the blame. After already one failed app release they would be taking a big chance on using a smaller company..even if the tech was better.

@feza read the release again, it was Newcastle Premier Health, a health clinic in Newcastle, about a 9 minute walk from CTEA office address in Newcastle. Hard to judge how big a trial it was.

Well let's hope Guy is out there doing the selling and not waiting for the new salesperson to come on board. CTEA need exposure like the app mention in the article.

and I have also post a few times that CTEA don't own the blockchain technology, that is owned by ChainZy, part of the Z/Yen group.

from my research its hard to find out how much of the technology CTEA own. As far as I can see the blockchain technology is owned by ChainZy part of the Z/Yen group. There is a case study on the chainzy website.

Apart from that one news item whe they first announced it.

In fact, doest look like there is a mention of cov-id any where on their website.
