I was discussing the earliest you could sell the shares and still receive the divi, not x divi date.

According to the info, if you sold yesterday or today, you won’t be on the register of owners at close of play today.

People think the shares went down because people were selling yesterday, the fact is the shares went down only to reflect the divi within the share price, so sp on OPENING on ex divi date is set by the market not on buys or sells.

I’m unsure however if there is a difference between a stock investment portfolio or an ISA stock inv portfolio, probably not for divi’s.

As per the RNS

Subject to approval by shareholders at the AGM on 22 July 2025, a final ordinary dividend of 9.7p11 per share will be paid on 1 August 2025 to shareholders on the register of the Company at the close of business on 27 June 2025. The ex-dividend date will be 26 June 2025.

This implies you need to hold the shares until the close of business today on the 27th to receive the dividend.

The committed work had been estimated at c £9m according to drill or drop.

Or about 1.5m per 1/6th, we can safely say UJO will pay c1.5m

So 7.5m between RBD and Rathlin would be my guess, how they’ve contracted to split may differ from economic interest.

That 2.2m may be all RBD are contracted to pay with Rathlin paying the rest.

In any case your estimate of 2.2m x 6m would seem excessive for the drill.

There was another time around same period I think it was RKH where they took out all the stop losses within a period of a few minutes where the price dropped off a cliff, then it went back up to prior price within a minute, some shenanigans with no one charged.

Going back a bit where I was stung badly, anyone remember Desire petroleum in the Falkland’s where they somehow turned oil into water, that was a disgraceful time, these guys should’ve went to jail, all the big boys sold out just before they announced it was water not oil.

Plus the delay in announcing something/anything, lots of people get anxious and sell because they’ve been bitten once too often.

We can only guess,

Billions on the market at 0.05, hundreds of millions bought between 0.05 and 0.06, some maybe hedging their bets and taking any profit now rather than wait for results.
