Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
The potential for EOG is frightening, they have so many options on their books, with wressle delivering cash month on month, the focus will be on where they commit the money they have towards growth and share holder value. Hopefully that info is forth coming next week.
We all have our own thoughts on what’s the best option for delivering the best value, I only ask that they spend some of the cash on something that gives the sp a boost.
Just a thought and probably best ignored.
Anyway, I would like to see some of the EOG cash used.
To this end I also think a deal could be done on a percentage of ownership with RBD/Rathlin and UJO on their WN b well, planned H1 2024, UJO may also be looking to increase its c16% as Rathlin will need funds for this drill from someone.
Don’t think so, oil and gas bought on open market at market price, we ain’t held hostage to no-one, the NS already exports a lot of its oil and gas.
Persi,
With an 86% geological chance of success, you think RBD should walk away, not try.
if they had any better options than WN with the SP on the floor, what are they.
Why post negatively when the RNS was positive, UJO has seen a 7.5% rise on the back of its small percentage, surely RBD deserves similar and probably a lot more.
Reabold holds a ca. 56% economic interest in West Newton and PEDL183 via its ca. 59% shareholding in Rathlin, which, in turn, has a 66.67% interest in PEDL183. In addition, Reabold has a 16.665% direct licence interest in PEDL183.
When Reabold own 59% of Rathlin, surely it’s an investment in their own company and a win win for them.
I note the usual suspects with their doom and gloom forecasts have nothing to say this morning.
Victory sale should release the funds to allow Rathlin to proceed with b well 1st quarter 2024, great chance of success, looks like UJO has risen on the news, RBD should rise a lot more.
Could this be the start of something good for share holders, makes a change.
No one is excited about Inishkea looking at the SP.
The 1 in 3 chance of success is currently being valued at 1 in 100 by the market.
The assets will be worth billions, it’s a life changer for many on here if it comes to fruition.
I will take a 1 in 3 chance, on the back of a farm out of at least tripling my money against a slight dip and recovery with no farm out, EOG with wressle will still be churning out the cash whatever happens, they still have c£7m in bank, all is not lost, might be slow burner but SP will recover.
That’s my last post on Scotland and independence, as long as Persi stops posting on the subject
Persi,
I’m struggling to find the queue for those 65 countries who have already left the UK wanting to return, you see them anywhere, must be disguising their longing to return to good old blighty, counting their blessings more like.
What’s Sad is you think Scotland is dependent on England and somehow subsidised by the English taxpayer, if that was really the case the Tory govt would have voted the Scot’s out years ago, they don’t do charity.
Anyway I’ve had enough of this chatter, I’m Scottish and British, I have family living and working in England with many born there, I have no Ill will towards them and English people, I just want my country to be given the opportunity to govern itself, what’s wrong with that, the other 65 countries were also told they needed the British empire to survive, they have proven they don’t, why Scotland with its assets and resources would fail is hard to imagine.
The spectator is a unionist rag.
It’s like everything you read condemning Scotland in the English media is the truth, why do you think Scotland is still in the union, why do you think successive governments in WM want Scotland in the Union, is it because without Scotland, England will be seen for what it is, a small country with limited influence in the world, England needs Scotland and its resources, so does Ireland, did you know 80% of their gas comes from Scotland.
As a Scot I’m sick to the back teeth of English entitlement, they even had the audacity to play GSTK at Hampden Park as the English national anthem, I thought it was the anthem for the UK.
It feels like Scotland is being swallowed up into England, treated like a part of England and not a partnership with England.
As for Eurostat being discredited, that’s nonsense why would they lie about something that can be proven, Scotland isn’t in the EU, why would they do it. So I should believe you and the spectator magazine? Where is your evidence to discredit these facts.
What a brass neck you have, corruption at the highest level in WM is off the charts 100s of millions lost in the PPE scandal and billions lost through govt mismanagement, what we had in Scotland was one person who donated to the SNP, he then contacted the police because he was unhappy with where the SNP had spent the funds, police Scotland on Behalf of the Tory govt erected tents outside the home of Nicola Sturgeon and basically forensically went through her home, she was arrested a week later for questioning, that’s it questioning, being arrested in England has different connotations to Scotland, she was released. This has been in the media for two years, no one has been charged, it’s basically a stick to beat the SNP with, its a unionist prop much like the drug situation, they will continue to use to discredit the SNP and mugs like you fall for it because it suits the agenda and attempts to level the playing field against the corruption in WM.
Did you know SNP chiefs including Nicola Sturgeon have declined to accept their full salary entitlement following a “voluntary pay freeze” in 2009, that’s the difference they make with a millions returned to the public purse, it doesn’t happen in WM they take and never give back.
persi,
i take it you are still reading the sun newspaper and unionist drivel.
research from eurostat has revealed that scotland has the best-educated population in europe.
scotland has been number one for the percentage of 25-61-year-olds educated up to degree level for every year between 2011 and 2019 (the last year for which data is available)
as for poverty in the uk. england and wales has the top 8 poorest areas in northern europe, scotland has none, because of the snp.
as for drugs the policy is reserved and under the control of westminster, the scottish government had consistently claimed its ambition to treat substance abuse as a public health matter, rather than criminal justice issue, was being stymied by a tory party wedded to its tired old “tough on drugs” mantra. this has recently changed as scotland’s lord advocate has now allowed scotland to go ahead without waiting for westminster to devolve its drugs policy.
when this happens scotlands drug deaths will drop considerably, as for england its drug deaths have been rising year on year, whacking the scot’s with a stick because of theirs is nothing to be proud of.
labour is dead in scotland, they are another tory party, two cheeks of the same **** springs to mind, the snp and its educated scot’s won’t fall for the lies. the snp will still be in power.
as for blaming the wm government, who else should you blame when they hold all the fiscal levers, have taken the uk out of europe without the consent of the majority of scots and tanked the economy, this wm government is corrupt to the core imo.
the scots and welsh have a lot to be thankful for, they are so lucky to have england and it’s charitable governments looking them all these years.
just imagine the state they would be in now, without england handing out the free cash, it’s great having someone to look after your finances in this big bad world, not allowing you to borrow, saving you cash and having seaports available in england for you to sell goods.
as for the oil, imagine having to be like norway with their huge fund to look after, the scots would probably just waste it on stuff that doesn’t work or just **** it away on whisky and drugs.
The 9.5m due to Reabold due from Corralian should be given to shareholders and the company sold and wound up, these 2 jokers have lost their backers a fortune, their time is up unless it’s behind bars.
Eog raised 7.02m less expenses and only paid out c4.8m for their share of the drill.
Where did that £2m go?, when was the c£2m returned from the escrow account as I can’t recall any RNS stating the money was returned, does anyone know what the figure was for the actual amount EOG received back as the drill results came in early and cost less than planned.
Schlum, yes it seems EOG’s oil is valued at half that of its partners.
I’m pretty relaxed about the sp, the news element however and the lack of it always causes a fall in the sp, some people just can’t wait long enough to see a companies true worth reflected in the share price.
I’m holding on for the big pay day and topping up when I can, that ever increasing cash pile is only going one way, it just needs to be used constructively, what’s the worst that can happen EOG is valued in cash only and the sp sits around 1p back to where it was post NS drill.
Lots happened since then but the sp doesn’t reflect the banked millions or any progress in projects, maybe one day it will, I’m a believer.
Good news indeed, pointless sitting on cash, EOG have to grow, spend the money.
Cash they say is trash when the govts just print more and devalue your pound by 10% year on year as /and interest rates rise, sitting on a stockpile of the stuff isn’t good, it needs invested and spent on worthwhile projects, edr it seems have plenty on their hands to get on with, the Eog board can now get off theirs and push on with this, it’s a win win for both companies.
Maybe value will out eventually and we will see more buyers of the stock as at the moment cash in the bank and debt free isn’t helping, getting on with stuff and expanding the business even taking on loans might just be the answer.
Any half decent bid will buy this company with SP on its knees many have had enough.
It’s not as if we haven’t been warned with constant delays in communication, when they can’t do the small tasks well, why trust them with the large one’s.
I’m well down here, I’m lucky in a sense because I nearly went all in, I had thought it was all about the divi’s and didn’t see what was coming, I guess many did bet the house on this I’m one of the lucky ones who came close but didn’t.
