Thay are unlikely to immediately issue an RNS in my view. If I were them I would await the latter of confirmation or whatever follows the cadastre update. Surely that letter is the definitive evidence of 'title' not that I doubt the cadastre but that in itself would hardly stand up in court as evidence of ownership !! It cannot be long between a cadastre update and whatever hard copy follows. Just guessing.

The water shortage, as you put it, is not an issue for the Hope & Gorob project. The reason ? It will deploy a minimal water pre-concentration process using laser separation techniques. The concentrate product will then be road-trucked to the final processing site northeast of Walvis Bay where water for industrial useis plentiful. Basically , this avoids the need for flotation and a tailings facility. Very clever really.

No objections to issue of the ML were received, or lodged anyway, by the public within the consultation period. Totally wrong. The SEIA and EMP for Ongombo will be submitted shortly. You can follow progress on the Ministry portal - as I do. Then, after the mandatory consultation period, the ML is issued and subject to the ECC that follows ( upon application) off they go ! You need to read your Namibian legislation my friend. It might also help if you read the RNSs for the last year. An ECC was issued a while back but was rescinded by agreement because the application area for the ML changed ( increased). All a matter of record. Just need to spend some time researching.

Also, I bet you the H&G Mining Licence is forthcoming within weeks. We shall see.

On the other hand, the public consultation period for the Hope and Gorob copper project closed on March 26th and the open file records for the Ministry of Mines show 'no objections'. Draw your own conclusions.
