JP I was rather hoping to see the 5% uplift you mentioned, once the inflation figures came in. But no. It seems like there is never news that actually has a positive on the SP.

Smokey that is my point. The 7% has not followed several years of 2 or 3%. Some could argue it is therefore just a 'correction' whereas in real terms no one is better off at all. I see no logic is this being a driver for more sodding rate hikes.

I am sure the so say wage inflation figure is misleading and just an excuse. The reason being is that those lucky enough to have been given rises of say 7-10 or more percent will not have had a pay rise for three or more years.
