Has anyone received their shares using IG?
Still have BPC and Cerp shares listed separately on IG.
My CERP shares show the same balance as last week but adds 'call to close'.
I was just about to ask the same question. Does my BPC holding automatically increase and the CERP disappear?
Thanks all. It is as I hoped. Cerp shares even after the 0.803 conversion rate will be worth more on Monday (assuming bpc is still at 2.7 ish) than they were worth pre conversion rate on Thursday.
Thanks. I'm not looking to change anything with my holdings, but I'm interested in the mechanics. I get that 100,000 would become 80,300 but wasn't sure if these would attract the closing BPC share price on Monday or some other calculation
OK, thanks. Couldn't agree more. So in the example I set out, the value of the CERP shares will jump by about 8% based on the current BPC price.
The Cerp shares closed at 1.82p and my understanding is that they will now be converted into BPC shares at the rate of 0.803 per share. So for example purposes, lets say 100,000 CERP shares are currently worth £1820. When they convert into BPC they will become 80,300 shares...but what will they then be worth? Do those new BPC shares attract the current BPC share price?
It is a move, and i'm happy with it...no complaints. Prefer steady growth than huge spikes... But some on here have been predicting gigantic leaps as soon as the merger is announced. Just making the point that no-one should listen to those suggesting massive, immediate rises, or falls.
So in the end...barely any SP move...
I act for lots of commercial landlords and even though it is tricky times at the moment, many of my clients hold property long term and 'dabble' in shares as an aside due their greater volatility. Commercial property (and residential) is more like an ETF! Slow and steady.
Much appreciated. I'll happily admit to being an unsophisticated investor but I am aware there are lots of games in the background
Is anyone able to explain why there are so many very small buys going through? Some are less than £100
Would I be correct to say that the volume today is almost none existant?
I've noticed lots of chatter about shorters and derampers and their opposition...the rampers. Now I realise this may be day one of investor school but sometimes taking things back to basics helps....
A) if someone owns shares why would they deramp ? My guess, they wouldn't.
B) if someone doesn't own shares, why bother posting here at all in an effort to deramp?
C) shorters... would they really bother with penny stocks? I realise that a small movement can translate into a decent return, but to make it worth their while they would need to chuck loads at it both money and resources
This leads me to think, any negative comments must be from a) people wanting back in after selling in a panic, or b) people wanting in at a lower price ... either way, people wanting in . If it is so negative why post here if you don't own any and/or why put money in if its a not a good investment.
Novice, in reference to your post of 9.53, and your reference to 10 day periods etc, when will this period be finished? If I understand your post correctly, rns may come after this period has ended..
If there are large transactions to buy CERP at present, could the buyers be similar entities to those now investing large sums in BPC...so that they benefit from the scenario I put forward above?
If the merger proceeds and CERP shareholders benefit from potentially an increase in their share price plus 0.83 BPC shares for each CERP share they hold (if my understanding is correct), then is there merit in buying CERP shares as well due them only being 2p? Clearly its a risk if the merger doesn't proceed.
I originally thought this forum was a valuable source of information and shared views from people with intellect and insight. Apart from a few, its just bickering. Cheerio and good luck. At the end of the day, we all hope the sp goes up.
It appears to be stuck at / or being kept below 3p.
