Hi Anth. I took Taxibabes post as very very informative. And I thank her for that (maybe a him). The timeframe quoted in her post was T25. Their just extending for another 25 days into June that's not an extortionate length of time and sounds completely plausible..... Hi to all the Scots involved!

Urm, so if MM are rolling over and extending their positions.. That would indicate they are waiting...? and expect news that will create a rise...? If anybody has got their ear to the ground then the MM probably have...ok I will take this has a positive,, take what information you can, PIs.....

Thanks Taxibabe, I take it from that response you work in the industry, maybe in future, we can call upon your expertise for other queries....It reminds me of the good old days when I was at Hoodless Brennan and I could make huge trades and not pay for them for a month which was great when you got lucky but not so good when you came to pay and there was massive difference between the purchase price and the price on the day of settlement....hard to do that now.....probably for the best..

last trade almost looks like a bed and ISA trade but too big. Damn right devious if you ask me, all these Unknown trades. It would certainly seem like there is one party selling while the other is buying and not just from the market....or it could be market maker games and the same shares being exchanged back and forth over and over again.. the lack of a tr1 on the selling side is most perplexing....unless the volume hasn't yet reached that level...has anybody been keeping a tally on the Unknown trades against general market selling...? frankly its all beyond me...what we need is a person who's good at scrutinizing with an eye for detail...Aha.. Phil. Any idea ?

Up, down, down-up, down, down, up a little...well hope everybody have got their anti-G suits ready for next week.. never been on such a ride, what do think Lunchalot, coming from the trading floor are these typical MM tricks or is this a sign of desperation, or perhaps the ultimate pump and dump...like I've said before, Borders and Southern is more than just an investment...Its a test of faith to the god of capitalism.....to all the long term faithful, Bond-007, Anth-72, Phil 64, Steptoe, Gus0 and all the other old-timers. Its good to dream.........

Cheers Gus, lets not forget the in-depth and extensive experience our chairman has had operating in Canada. He was the chairman of multiple mining operations there with connections far and wide. He operated in the province for a decade from the early 2000's. Interesting that he only remains active as chair with Borders and Southern.

If that is the case Gus, what ever they made financially they lost 10 fold in PR and bad press...I noticed on other boards the topic was coming up....perhaps IG would care to make a public comment on this forum to defend their reputation. I'm not vindictive so in this case all's well that ends well.

Everybody at IG, check your accounts the open offer shares have just been issued...HOORAY!!!

Hi Gus, just got off the phone, again, the poor South African call-centre girl seemed like she was almost in tears, but really I was not that bad with her, keeping quite calm....she admitted that there had been a large number of calls on this issue and repeated that they are working with it, "please give us to the end of the day to resolve this issue". I too have previously phoned and been re-assured that the issue will be sorted by the the end of the day only to see no change in the account status... everybody involved needs to state on this forum that they are effected so the crisis at IG becomes very public and it shows the number's effected.

Any body taking bets on a potential BOR marriage. As the Calgary boys are buying in do we think there might be a Canadian connection...possibly Enbridge maybe?

Good morning Mr HelixVonSmelix. Not everybody got additional shares (I didn't but I think that was down to broker failings). From my understanding of the conversations on this forum, retail investors generally only received a small fraction of what they requested, generally only 10% of what they asked for. Did anybody do well with their excess? maybe all the excess went to this Canadian that's collecting and why the holdings RNS?

Hi Gus. Yesterday I sent my harshest email to IG yet, stating that the proportion of the open offer allocation that’s being returned to my standard share dealing account was earmarked for a bed and ISA transaction. And that this transaction should of have already occurred at a much lower price level. I stated that the delay in distributing the open offer shares had created a situation where the rising price of the BOR shares will take up a much larger proportion of my ISA allowance and that IG was liable for this loss. I stated that if action wasn’t immediately taken, I would be taking legal action and seeking compensation. I also stated, that if there is a shortfall in the IG accounts they should seek the difference by purchasing on the open market and that this should happen quickly before any further price rise occurs in the market. It’s interesting that a response was returned today and everybody at IG should get their open offer allocation on Monday. I wonder if today’s rise was partially driven by IG actually having to buy on the open market…probably not and it’s just a coincidence but it is curious. Anyway, just so Mr Bond knows, that boat he’s sailing all the way to 18p, will need a crew; can I man the spinnaker …..

Hi Gus, thanks for letting everybody know the situation with IG. All I ever get is "we will forward your enquiry to the concern team and they will look into your situation" what ever that means and then I'm left guessing. I've learnt more today from you than I have with 10 phone calls to IG. I can't believe they've messed up the allocations it's a simple formula, you state the number of shares and place the funds in the account to cover the purchase; the two tally up. Seems very dodgy to me and I think there is a clear question of ethics here, how can a broker get this sort of thing wrong....all I know is this has been problematic from the start and it's starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth, at this stage I'll be happy just to get the shares let alone all the issues of placing them in the ISA account.

Cheers also Tincan. It all helps to build a full picture. Think I'll be giving them (IG) some grief also tomorrow....

Hi gus I called IG today to ask what's the situation. I too have not received any actual shares although the account shows a line with the quantity taken up and the funds have been debited. considering the amount of time that has passed it would be nice to know if this is the case across all brokers. I was never allocated any additional shares just the basic entitlement although I sent many requests. The operator said he would look into it and Email back.. still waiting...

Hope there isn't a doomsday here!
