should be 2021 not 2012. I am tired.
On 16th September 2020 they said that their 75billion euro note , due April this year had about 377 million euro outstanding. The 750 million note at this time at 3.5 % was still outstanding. They tendered for two 75milion euro notes at 2.5 and 3.5 % due 2012 and 2022 respectively. Debt consolidation in process. With 7 billion in the bank, my point was that they are not short of a bob or two. That's all.
TC 101"Anglo American capital ltd will raise the funds in order to on lend to other elements in the group".
I remember Dimitry in the Proactive interview specifically mentioning that AA had changed policy about concentrating all their Pd eggs in one South African basket. That was months ago, but we still need patience as it's not over til the weighty soprano starts warbling.
Anglo share price up 2.5 %
Am I correct in thinking that a non binding bid can only become binding once the buyer has demonstrated it can afford the price? I have no personal experience of large buyouts.
The debt referred to is correct. They also have 7 billion cash in the bank.
Agree Dore. It would not be all on one thing. It just seems a big amount and at this particular time , bearing in mind AA's previous JV and experience in the area, it awakened my curiosity
It was uneconomic when Pd was 400 dollars an ounce. Tht's the cost of getting an oz out of the ground in Montechundra. Pd a wee bit more expensive now.
Skimming through the documents, which are lengthy, it seems a cover all to do lots of things in it's vast empire. Howver even if they need a few million here and there for environmental regs in SA or elsewhere, it is a big sum of money. I wonder?
I have just noticed an RNS from Anglo relating to the offering of a 15 billion dollar note/s. The purpose is for Anglo American Capital ltd to raise the notes for " on lending to other parts of the Anglo American group"

Again.
You have to judge against vaccinated and non vaccinated people. The longer the utake of the vaccine then the more accurate the data is. Eg throw 6 coins and it is not uncommon to have a heads to tails ratio of 4:2 or higher. Throw a million coins and you will have 50/50 split to minute degree of accuracy. Real world data now showing Astrazeneca vaccine 90% effective after one dose. Earlier clinical trials on smaller sample size was about 80% effective.

Why no report of Blackrock RNS which says they reduced their short?
I do not know if AC had notified board before his transaction it would have made any difference to SP drop. I have to take the RNS this morning at face value. However it MAY affect the sale price in a marginal way IF and it's a big if , the sale price per share involves a multiple of the average share price over a period of time. The fact that it has recovered quickly to a degree so far today diminishes the effect which is good. Personally I would hope for double this price as a minimum.
