Trump pestis maximus est.
‘If we stop testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any,’ Trump says
At a roundtable Monday afternoon on protecting senior citizens during the coronavirus pandemic, President Trump had a novel response when asked about the number of covid-19 cases in the U.S.
“If we stop testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
On the 1st June the share price was £1.77 and someone posted on this site asking for advice.as they were holding substantial aprofit My advice w as to take some profits. This was roundly rubbished.
This was the text of my post.
There was a time when I owned some shares in Baltimore Technologies (remember them? -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltimore_Technologies)
It soared in value and I continued to hold. Big mistake as I subsequently lost this fabulous wealth.
In contrast a few years ago I bought some Amazon at about £195/share. They are currently trading at £1971/share.
The difference is that whilst Amazon is still my second largest holding I have taken two large chunks out.banking the profit and what I have left owes me nothing.
my largest holding continues to be AZN and yes I've recently taken a chunk of that out as well.
Catalent on board to make AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine
Catalent's Biologics unit inks an agreement with AstraZeneca to provide vial filling and packaging services at its facility in Anagni, Italy and prepare for large-scale commercial supply of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate AZD1222.
Catalent will prepare the facility for around-the-clock manufacturing schedules aimed at supplying "hundreds of millions" of doses from August of this year to, potentially, March 2022 if the vaccine is approved by regulators.

AstraZeneca (NYSE:AZN) will work with Emergent Biosolutions (NYSE:EBS) to help produce the 300M doses of ADZ1222 that AZN has pledged to the U.S.
The candidate was the first to advance into Phase 2 development. Preliminary data should be available no later than next month.
Earlier today, EBS announced an $87M deal with AZN for development services, technology transfer, analytical testing, drug substance process and performance qualification as well as reserving large-scale production capacity through this year.
Last week, EBS inked a $628M contract with the U.S. government to accelerate the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines.

All that glisters is not gold—
Often have you heard that told.
Many a man his life hath sold
But my outside to behold.
Gilded tombs do worms enfold.
Had you been as wise as bold,
Young in limbs, in judgment old,
Your answer had not been inscrolled
Fare you well. Your suit is cold—
Cold, indeed, and labor lost
More on the trail of Co-incidences
Last year Cummings was accused by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism of – “conflict of interest accusations over a consultancy role he undertook for a government-endorsed healthcare startup that is in position to receive a share of a new £250m flagship public fund.”
In December, Downing Street and the Department of Health announced a £250m fund to boost the use of AI in the NHS by using automated systems for diagnoses or data analysis.
In May, it was revealed that an artificial intelligence startup that was hired to work with Dominic Cummings on the Vote Leave campaign has been awarded at least seven government contracts worth almost £1m in the space of 18 months.
Dominic Cummings has been accused and accepted as a matter of fact that he sits on the government advisory committee meeting with the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies. or SAGE.
Cummings has been accused of politically ‘interfering/influencing the outcome of those meetings.
Castle Barnard happens to be a main research and manufacturing facility for GlaxoSmithKline.
GlaxoSmithKline currently has 24 vaccine products to their name, including three used against influenza.
Dominic Cummings was seen by witnesses (on record) on 12th April in Castle Barnard.
Two days later, GlaxoSmithKline of Barnard Castle signed an agreement to develop and manufacture a Covid-19 vaccine with Sanofi of France.
I was told of a new-to-me French conspiracy theory.
GSK are in collaboration with the French company Sanoffi to produce a Covid-19 vaccine That much is true.
GSK have a facility in Barnard Castle (yes really though I don't know what it does).
The French theory is that Cummings went to Barnard Castle to get treatment. On that point I couldn't possibly comment.
GSK taps Mammoth Biosciences to develop a CRISPR-based, over-the-counter coronavirus test
GlaxoSmithKline’s consumer products division is teaming up with Jennifer Doudna’s CRISPR-focused outfit Mammoth Biosciences to develop a new COVID-19 diagnostic that would be fast, hand-held and fully disposable.
GSK first plans to roll out the test as a point-of-care screener for clinics and hospitals this year, before offering it over-the-counter for use in the home.
“Our mission at Mammoth has always been to redefine the relationship that consumers have with their health, and through our collaboration with GSK Consumer Healthcare, we’ll be able to do just that,” Mammoth’s co-founder and CEO, Trevor Martin, said in a statement.
“COVID-19 is, of course, a key focus right now, but as a society what we need is a foundational shift in diagnostics—a scalable means to widely address disease detection,” Martin said. “With a CRISPR-based diagnostic we can achieve a rapid and true point of need test without compromising the accuracy of molecular testing for all types of infectious diseases.”

AstraZeneca (AZN -1.6%) will collaborate with Lexington, MA-based Accent Therapeutics to develop and commercialize RNA-modifying proteins (RMPs) for the treatment of cancer.
The partnership will leverage AZN's skills in advancing oncology medicines and Accent's know-how in RMP-targeting therapies, a new field called epitranscriptomics.
Under the terms of the deal, Accent will be responsible for R&D activities for an as-yet-unnamed preclinical program through Phase 1. AZN will lead subsequent development and commercialization following regulatory approvals. Accent will have the option to co-develop and co-commercialize in the U.S. AZN will have an exclusive option to in-license global rights to two additional programs for which Accent will conduct the preclinical work.
Accent will receive $55M upfront, option fees, milestones and tiered mid-single-digit-to-low-double-digit royalties on net sales. If elects to join AZN in the U.S., it will split profits and losses.
