BBD, if you want more details about 2d nano particles for IR sensors, NigWit is patently our patent person (see what I did there). He seems to have an appetite for reading patents like no other on this board, as far as I can tell.
conversion = conversation
To be very clear, I was simply trying (along with BBD) to reconcile ME's statement in the interview that the production facility is being doubled in size (i.e. another 3000 sq feet in addition to the existing 3000 sq feet), with the press release's announced 10000 sq feet. The only other non 'production facility' usage mentioned is office and storage, so I am literally just using available information. Anyway, very happy to move on to a more important conversion.
NigWit, it's quite cute how you post me the link with "It's all here", when I was the one who originally posted it here and started this particular conversation.
Really. I'm saying 7000 sq feet because doubling would mean only another 3000 sq feet, leaving 7000 sq feet unaccounted for, that's all. Anyway, it probably isn't even anything to worry about, just a mild mystery ... as ever with NANO.
But isn't it reasonable to suppose, as I have already done in a previous post, that the extra 7000 sq feet must be referring to the additional office and storage space referred to in the press release?
These 2d nano particles for IR sensors are not like quantum dots, and I don't yet have any grasp of their value or margins etc. so such paper napkin calculations are probably unwise. IMO.
I quote: "10,000 square feet of additional space for state-of-the art laboratories, offices and storage capacity".
BBD, yes I just figured the extra 7000 sq feet must be referring to the additional office and storage space referred to in the press release.
And also a press release from yesterday which it seems we all missed (at least I did): http://www.nanocotechnologies.com/media/press-releases/nanoco-makes-quantum-leap-heath-business-and-technical-park-new-nanomaterials
Seems they also posted it on their website at: http://www.nanocotechnologies.com/*************.net/interview-nanoco-group-excited-for-the-future
They finally decided it might be a good idea to tweet the positive interview. Better late than never I guess. https://twitter.com/nanocotech
Bagpuss, ME said: "and with the contracts that are coming in now we have ... more than sufficient cash to take us through to cash flow positive for the company".
looks really strong right now, suggests to me that this should breach 40p today.
Ah thanks NW, that's better.
How about this: http://***************************/interview-nanoco-group-excited-future/412747574

Hey NW, I already bagged Tesla weeks ago mate, check your list. Was it something I said? ;) Anyway, extremely good news, looking good for my Tesla choice. Poor old Oxfam could probably use a bit of love these days... I think IR based sensors will be applicable more ubiquitously than just for automotive applications, I am thinking IoT and also home / interior automation applications. This opens up a huge new prospect in my book. Brilliant. Cashflow positive! What we've all been dreaming of - well except the shorters perhaps. Probably time to close out your shorts by the way, and go long I'd say. I do love the use of the phrase 'big time execution mode'. GLA, well done for hanging in there.
Interesting to see 37p again so soon ... there MUST be a good news RNS coming early next week lol And don't worry Screenlearner, I think we've used up all the magic by now - you're welcome to agree with me if you wish. All the best to everyone, long and short - especially long ;)
"It's all about that panel Although Acer, Asus, and HP use different industrial designs and might offer some minor distinguishing featuressuch as more HDMI inputs or better built-in speakersall three BFGDs use the same panel, manufactured by AUO. Its a stunning display, using the same kind of quantum dot filtering that appears on high-end LED TVs from Samsung and others. It also has a peak brightness of 1000 nits, which is what the UltraHD Alliance recommends to see the full benefits of 4K HDR". https://www.techhive.com/article/3247424/ces/best-smart-tv-at-ces-is-from-nvidia.html
