Wyndrum - you underestimate my vibes - intuition is the ability to understand or know something immediately
without conscious reasoning. I am not claiming to be a Uri Gellar or anything of that ilk but I have had
strange feelings about this Company for a long time. Don't ask me to explain that but it has happened before
in other business dealings. Incidentally - no offence taken - I understand your scepticism.
I predicted a fell to 3.75 and we settled at the end of the day at 3.80. Not bad for someone who relies
mostly on intuition. Nevertheless sticking with it for now - TU much as I anticipated.
I am not overly impressed with CC - I think she glosses over a lot of stuff. Enthusiastic certainly but
productive ? - not really sure. I may be totally off the map on this but I am not expecting anything
exiting tomorrow - predict a return to 3.75p. Had the price remained at over 5p at close of play today
I would have sold my holding and bought more tomorrow. The current selling price meant that was almost
not worth while. A lot of you people out there will possibly be laughing at this prediction in the morning
but I have a very thick skin and some of you might even be agreeing with me at this moment in time.
Pleased to be corrected on the Dunelm situation - I did mention it to several members of the staff but I suspect my local
store, being a small one, obviously must carry a limited range. Regarding profitability, sometimes I get feelings, "in my
water", so to speak which appear totally without foundation and which actually happen. When the shares were rock bottom I suspect most competitors assumed (wrongly) that they were about to go under. At that point they could have
bought up the specs, expertise and personnel for a minimal outlay. I totally accept I may be way off line !!!
EVE are claiming that that supply Dunelm with memory foam pillows. I went into my local store and enquired but they had never heard of EVE. What they did have in stock was a huge amount of alternative memory foam pillows especially Dorma.
There were other Brand names on display too which from my point of view serves to emphasise what a huge mountain,
(hill is not appropriate) EVE has to climb to gain instore impact and Brand recognition. I left slightly disappointed
with my view strongly reinforced of just how much EVE remain a very small fish in a very large pond. I am sure one of
the bigger players in this market must see EVE as an irritating pinprick in the marketplace and would to like to
remove them but only by gaining the benefit of their technical expertise and resultant high quality products. I strongly doubt if there is any possibility of EVE moving into profitability EVER and still see a likely takeover as the value to current
shareholders.
well that's me back in - much against my better judgement - but I am hopeful that at minus 4p we
have reached the bottom. I remain of the opinion that a takeover is the only way we will make
a profit here.
the only time EVE shares went up recently was when the CBD announcement was made. I sold soon after that
and made a profit. That promise of improved sales seemed to have died in the water perhaps because the
government are going to investigate the use of over the counter cannabis sleep inducing products. I am still in
with a much reduced holding but remain convinced the only upside here has to be means of a takeover. I include
myself as one of many deluded souls involved with this company as living in Cloud Cuckoo Land - and yet I haven't sold
my entire holding.
I intend to buy more EVE at current levels but my reason for doing so is solely in expectation
of an eventual takeover. Small fish, big ideas beyond it's economic capacity. It simply
cannot grow without massive further investment via a rights issue or by being involved
in a takeover by one of the big boys. 7p maybe 8p a share. Any forthcoming SP increase
beyond that figure - DREAM ON !!
Any takeover would achieve three things. Firstly the buyer would gain from technical expertise which has given EVE a prominent customer experience in the Market Place, Secondly they would take another player out of the market and finally, while I totally understand Wyndrum's question why would anyone want to buy a company which had never to date made a profit there would be huge economies in scale. Bearing in mind, as was stated in the recent presentation,
one company's advertising budget alone exceeds EVE's total budget. Certainly if were one of the competitors, my eye
would be fixed on getting EVE out of the Market Place and I am very confident there will be a move of some sort soon
because of the appointment of the ex McCartney and Stone man. Just a hunch of course, but very often I get these
feelings about things and on many occasions they do come to fruition.
I think Wyndrum summed up my feelings exactly. Can't really think of much to add to that.
This company is heading for a takeover - a very small, Nuisance of a fish, in a very big bond.
The appointment of this ex MacCarthy and Stone man says it all IMHO. I very much doubt
if the northern side of 10p will ever be seen.
Just wondering why they would be appointing a Director with recent experience and involvement in the takeover
of McCarthy and Stone. My suspicions are aroused - I wonder what the offer, when it comes, is likely to be. ??
What I learned from the discussion was that EVE is a VERY SMALL player in a VERY BIG field. The only hope for profit
from this is a takeover by one of the bigger players. I shall hold on in the hope that may occur. Other than takeover
offer I will be amazed if EVE ever reaches the lofty heights of 10p.
no real highlights - a mediocre little company - jogging along at not much more than snail's pace. Disappointing !!!
Share price dropped straight afterwards but coming back a bit - little chance of a massive lift in the near future (IMHO)
Having said that I see no real reason to sell but this is going to be a fairly mundane holding I fear - but who knows ??
Usernamedbut1 - thanks for the responding to my question - much appreciated
I am quite happy with things at the moment but bought in at around 4p. A friend of mine pointed out that EVE were at £1.30
in 2017. I had absolutely no idea that this was the case. I read things on here about Woodford. Can somebody enlighten
me in precis form exactly how this demise took shape to the point where the share were trading at less than 1p. Has there been any form of rating or is it a straight drop from £1.30. Apologies for being naïve but if some could take the trouble to
advise me on this it would be much appreciated.
How do you sell mattresses by not mentioning mattresses in your advert nor the name of the company - only
by highlighting it graphically at the end ? My wife would like to buy the sloth she thinks that is what the
advert is for. Very poor in IMHO
It's a sleep enhancing aid Cannabidial (CBD)
My buy this morning 20.466 at 08.00.25 is listed as a sell. I wonder how many transactions are wrongly categorised. Seems
strange that the price has risen today following an almost 100% listing of sells
To all fellow shareholders. This has ben a long and bumpy ride. Let's to forward to great things in 2019
