...Value and Control...
I know it was only a couple of days ago (7th Aug), that the further acquisition news and SS interview came out, but I think worth repeating.
The reason for my investment here has been strengthened, I am happy with the progress SS and the team are making, and very happy to hold and add to my position, no matter what the short term share price fluctuations are.
SS said this was all about adding value and control, some of the key points for me are:
VALUE
The value of the company (net assets) has been increased.
Cash reserves from production have increased.
Reserves in the ground have increased (That's how Oil and Gas co's are measured!).
CONTROL
We now have almost 86% of the asset and firmly in control of what happens and when.
FINANCING
In SSs own words, this is a very simple deal and extremely good from a cost of capital perspective.
The deal is to be completed very soon (target - next couple of weeks), with drilling immediately after that, not by the end of the year, but by the end of the summer!
I am really looking forward to the next few weeks and months here.
Good luck all, whatever your agenda/strategy.
I am still very happy with whats going on at UKOG and the plan going forward, nothing has changed for me, just a day closer to (hopefully) some good news.
I do not believe I have been strung along by this (or any other) share, it was my decision to invest when I did at the price I did.
There is oil down there and it is coming out of the ground every day (thank you for the pics, much appreciated).
Placings done are for stated reasons, and I am ok with that.
A period of share price stability, all-be-it at this lower level if fine with me, with the actual tradeable price being much closer than the advertised price showing on the screens.
I hope that all those that want out get their wish once this trades higher.
There is a risk involved in pretty much everything we choose to do, all I say is take responsibilty for your own decisions and actions.
Good luck all and have a great weekend.
All of the Directors' salaries are available publicly and a matter of record.
It is part of the information I gather before making my own investment decision.
As I said earlier, I am happy with the BOD and with what they are trying to achieve here.
ipadtrader - I have no problem with that.
We have different views and you should base your investment decisions on what you think is right and the information available at the time.
I believe it will take time, but SS and the crew will build a successful business and the oil flowing daily at HH gives me comfort.
I am happy with the way the company is run and the prospects we have going forward.
The UKOG company strategy is clear...
they aim to build a diverse, sustainable and self-funding exploration and production business, with their key strategic objectives being:
- Find and develop low-cost and long-life assets
- Resource and Reserve growth
- Targeted Portfolio Management.
I am happy with they are doing.
Could it be communicated a little better with shareholders, probably yes...
Unfortunately they cannot please all of the people all of the time,
there are those that want more RNSs and those that say every time an RNS is released the SP goes down.
It is up to each potential investor to decide if this is where they want their cash to be.
Bear in mind that UKOG are targeting 20 years of continual production from the weald, and are about to unlock the prospect by their planned horizontal wells which in turn are backed by some years of evaluation and testing of the reservoir at Horse Hill.
Up to each and every individual to decide whether this is an opportunity for them or not.
Someone posted this a while ago, I thought it was a great post at the time and worth repeating:
Positives for UKOG
- Top rated Geologist CEO who knows his trade with over 20 oil finds to his name.
- Commercial Oil flowing off 1 Vertical Well at Horse Hill.
- A Strategic Plan going forward.
- All necessary planning and permission in place for the next 2 horizontal wells.
The SP might be down, but the reasons why I invested in the first place are unchanged.
In fact, the oil is (still) coming out of the ground, so although I would be happier with a higher share price, i am very happy with our CEO, and the strategic plan going forward.
