My opinion on this is : Boris and Co have nothing else to hang onto apart from the Covid drama, we have real problems with Brexit, trade, NHS underfunded, Education etc.. that need to be tackled. As long as they can prolong the drama (open / closed / slightly open etc..)the more they delay the inevitable i.e they are incompetent and the country will soon find out.
The vaccine works or it doesn't, all these measures are in place to ensure our health system can cope with the situation while the vaccine was developed and rolled out. Loss of life is always tragic but lets keep it real - we as humans kills way more people every year then the Covid 19 ever will.
And he predicted that after "most European populations are vaccinated by September", the airline should see a particularly strong recovery in October to March, the second half of its financial year.
"For vaccinated Britons going to the beaches of Portugal, Spain and Greece, I think there is very little risk. Everybody is right to be cautious, but I think everybody can take their holiday in Europe with a high degree of confidence."
Travel demand is rising sharply, just as matter of time before long haul flights are back to normal.
Europe's biggest budget airline revealed the scale of the coronavirus collapse in travel - an €815m (£702m) loss and traffic down 81% in the year to March on the previous 12 months. But Mr O'Leary said there were signs the "recovery has already begun". Bookings are up from 500,000 a week in early April to 1.5 million a week now.
"The rate of bookings suggests there is a huge amount of confidence," he told the BBC. "We are very optimistic for the next couple of months."

Just trying to understand that’s all.
When I recommend something similar am called a “gambler” but when you do it you are an astute investor adapting to market situations.
Anyways no intention of arguing, have a good day. To each their own.
So I can understand - People posting on this site that they are long term holders and not to watch the daily movement but give it 6 months plus as that's where the returns will be. Am not seeing posts that they are buying / Selling the volatility and doing very well by selling high and buying low- shares for free.
hmmmm don't want to start an argument but am I missing something here.
:-) Sure is a-lot of profit taking going on today. Now down 4%.
Major manipulation going on in my view too. However am optimistic and am targeting a 130 price of the end of the month and which point I will sell half my stake. Currently holding at an average of 109.45, my attempts at playing the ups and downs had degraded my average share price by more than a point.
In short term (span of 2-3 months), stock price movement is mostly speculative. If there are more buyers, price goes up. If there are more sellers, price falls. What triggers buying or selling? Overall economic conditions, Quarterly reports etc.. can all influence behaviour of the markets. (apologies not meaning to lecture - just sharing my views)
The massive volatility we are seeing on RR is speculation i.e. shorting in my view. In my opinion we are being kept low until such time as good news it announced (list was provided by a poster earlier) or announcement or a takeover / demerger. GSK seems to be the next British company on the chopping block, RR to follow. (Please don't think the muppets in charge will rescue RR). Once the above happens the share price will rocket, in the meantime its a world of pain .
Come on Red Inky, there is no pattern to follow. If there was then surely millionaires all around.
What we are trying to understand is the reason for the drop on positive news , a 3% drop today makes no sense.
It never the toxic persons fault they move on and find new victims to blame for their behaviour (as can been seen over the last three days) - goes against the grain for me to watch this individual try to attack and bully me and other posters.
To stand by and simply watch is almost as bad as doing it. Hence I am calling him out whenever he gets out of line.
CW CW CW.... back to lesson 1 - "be nice"
Along with trying to insult me, you have managed to insult girls, clowns, things that live under rocks etc... , does this really make you feel better? I do feel bad now because you will probably take your frustrations out on someone near and dear to you - that's what bullys and so called macho people do when they get frustrated / angry.
Have a good day, and I honestly and sincerely hope you dont lash out anywhere apart from this chat room. FYI - RR is a Global high tech company - nothing really Macho or English about it anymore.
Good Morning Jim,
Appreciated your response, as a poster and consumer of opinions on this site it is always a pleasure to meet "nice" people.
I am honestly perplexed and now a bit worried about CW, my post seems to have trigged an episode of some sort in him. He has since posted saying he is being "two teamed" and there is some conspiracy against him (Paranoia), he also posted through the night (Sleeplessness) and has asked "folks" to ignore my opinions (talking to imaginary people). I think its a cry for help, hopefully someone reading this who knows him will do so. He's turning aggressive and may end up harming himself as he sure can't harm anyone on this site..
As for RR - I too have a long term holding and have been playing the volatility day trading. Good luck on your shares and your strategy, and thanks for sharing your thoughts..
