I agree with your comments but it would have been more difficult for wizz to expand as fast if they had to borrow the money and own the planes.

Not sure if the banks would have10 -15 lent billions.

If things change for worse than wizz can exercise the clause in the contract to return the airplanes rather then keeping them in the tarmac.

Maybe in the future they will have a mix of lease and their own airplanes.

I can say that all the chaos caused by Trump has done Wizz a great favour

I like wizz approach to buy, sell and then lease back the airplanes as the quickest solution to increase the number of planes by booking a profit in the process when selling the planes, avoiding paying interest on borrowing and earning interest at the same time by depositing the funds 😀
