I agree, I expected a little better after the update but I think it’s still worth holding onto, a good time to get into a company is after a fundraise, so anybody in around the 25p mark or lower will do well, a lot of the hype seems to have died out but I don’t intend on selling just yet, all the bad news is out, let this settle and it’ll soon start moving up, I won’t be leaving here without a decent profit
the fact that these guys have come in and chosen to invest in SIG is a plus in my eyes as there are many companies out there that could do with a PE group like CD&R coming to their rescue, the situation here is not great but after the results yesterday and the funding issue put to bed providing a solid base around 25p i think SHI is free to start moving north, everything is out in the open now and the only way is up

no II's will be dumping because no II's are in on the 25p part of the fundraise only CD&R are getting shares at 25p, the other part of the placing which could be at a higher price will be taken up by IKO etc. this could be at a higher price than 25p
As we’ve had no RNS I’m sure how much info we’ll receive with regards to financing... might just be more of a recap of what’s happened up till now maybe more for new investors than current ones, still looking forward to it though
Over at SHI JPM have been selling shares but increasing their holding via the purchase of other financial instruments, it’s not nice to see them selling but I don’t think it’s because of anything directly related to SIG, they seem to be selling a fair few holdings at the minute... surely if there was something seriously wrong with SIG then there’d be more institutions dumping....it does look to a decent recovery stock, I’m sure they’ll be a few bumps in the road but they sit in a pretty good place atm, plenty of cash, manageable debt and operations are back up and running
As for HZM, I won’t be able to watch the presentation but I’m hoping for some positive hints of what’s going on behind the scenes, and I’m sure it will be very positive.....
I did hope we may have some news before the presentation, it’ll be interesting to hear what JM has to say, no doubt he’ll be questioned on the JPM shares, which he will deny any knowledge of....still no TR1 though which is a little disappointing
No idea. I do think SIG offers good upside but it is worth noting that while JPM have been selling their shares in SIG they have been increasing their holding through the purchase of financial instruments, so while they are selling one they are buying the other, I don’t know why they are selling but I just used that as an example because I don’t know why they’d not notify here if they were selling and given the fact we are weeks away from financing I’d like to think there’s more to it then selling out, why should they sell out in the long term everybody invested here is going to do very well, I’m sure JPM know that also so as pointed out maybe it’s because they intend to be involved elsewhere
If that’s the case then why have JPM issued TR1’s in SHI, they are selling there too, I have seen about 6 TR1’s from them in the last few weeks, I cannot buy the idea that they are bending the rules or forgetting to declare their holdings, the are playing buy the rules in other UK stocks so why wouldn’t be for HZM, makes no sense... these shares have been moved in one lump and hopefully a TR1 will follow soon
JPM haven’t been selling their holding over time.... I don’t know why people are saying that... they would have had to declare it... they are selling SHI atm and have a been notifying the markets as required every time they cross a threshold...
HZM issued 13 million shares to glencore last year, so how would that work if those shares hit the market glencore would have to buy them which would make no sense, I’d guess they were issued and transferred directly to Glencore and as such are shares not available in the markets but are obviously part of the total shares in issue so they could be sold if Glencore chose to
I could imagine that some shares such as the shares issued to glencore during the Araguaia acquisition and the payment they took last year in shares were issued to Gelncore directly, so they’ve never been on the markets.... how could HZM pay them in shares otherwise?
