Banbury thank you that is very reassuring! Sep 20
SOA seems a bit slow in selling twin cabins 129 left with not long to go. Considering buying more of this stock after taking some profit on Marshalls plc which seems to defy gravity by increasing every year for last 10 years. It is by far my best investment.
Thanks I was sort of aware sep2 22 day but wondered if it had been cancelled as did not see any/ much promotion of it when I was monitoring staycation cruises. Does anyone out there know how it sold. If its a long cruise it would reassuring to know it is not sailing half empty? Birdseye!
Thank you. Very enlightening. My own survey seems to indicate that the decision to include a good proportion of single cabin on each ship is proving a very successful policy indeed. Single cabins I think will sell out on almost all cruises departing. Birdseye!!!
Now that Sisters staycation cruises are coming to an end, I wonder if anyone out there has feedback as regards trip advisor type reviews as to how passengers felt about their experiences on the two sister ships on their return to service? Birdseye!
Update: 3 remaining UK Staycation cruises Aug 21 out of Tilbury:
West/Wales cruise 21 st Aug. All standard twin cabins gone. Only 1 or 2 delux twins still available.
Scottish Islands cruise 27th. Same as for West/wales above.
Scottish Isles 23 Aug. Still lagging way behind with 76 standard twin cabins still available. Should start to sell now as last staycation now available. Lets hope so! Birdseye!
Update : remaining standard twin cabins on staycation cruises out of Tilbury:-
21 Aug. West and Wales. - 20
23 Aug. Scottish isles. - 83
27 Aug. Scottish Isles. - 08
23rd seems outlyer here in that they are not moving as quickly as other two. Any ideas why?
Birdseye!!!
As of Saturday close of play standard twin cabins available on 3 remaining staycation cruises still open to book are as follows:
43 - West Country and Wales depart 21 Aug
90 -Scottish Islands depart 23 Aug
18 - "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" 27 Aug
That's all folks - Birdseye!!!
Thanks for your response. I'm a bit sceptical about no recent movement in 15 th August cruise. It went down quickly from 150s to 130s within a day. Was it LBC or Telegraph? Then has not moved for 2 days. That does not make sense.
Maybe they've closed down new bookings or last
Minutes have not been recorded. Maybe I'm being
Optimistic here!
Thanks for info re Telegraph. Current position re standard twin cabins still available:
15 th Scotland - 132 movement static.
16 th South West - 162 slight downward movement.
21 st South West - 81 good downward movement
23 rd Scotland - 105 good downward movement
27th Scotland - 41 set to sell out!
Hope this helps Capitain Birdseye
