China did end up with a huge surplus in EV's... the government offered initiatives to push EV adoption, which then faltered leaving huge fleets of used cars stockpiled.

I can imagine the SP steadily creeping up (in typical AIM fashion i.e. +/- 5%) between now and the deadline.

I think Prem was ripe for a dead cat bounce after they fell off that cliff yesterday.

Looked like a no-brainer for traders.

If you Google "Wagner" and "Sahel", you'll read a lot of the means required to do this have been in place for years.

The West don't like it.

Any opportunity to kick them out is a bonus.

Daz, I think it's it's a clever move by the US.

In recent years, the Malian government have started using Wagner instead of the French to provide stability in the region.

The US and French have seen the growth of Russian influence in the area as a risk to their resource and have been vocal about this for some time.

So by making public the information they are putting pressure on Mali to rethink the use of Wagner, whilst also putting pressure on them not enable a pipeline into Ukraine, which further supports US motives.

This has been going on since end of 2021.

I still hold a good chunk of Kodal, now averaging 0.27, but sold have half over the last few days.

I didn’t think you were deramping in the slightest and I don’t think the news is “fake” either.

Wagner have been operating in Mali, since before the Ukraine conflict. They are also supporting the conflict in Sudan by supplying arms. So I can see it quite conceivable that there is an established pipeline for hardware via Mali into Ukraine.

I like to read this sort of information and that’s why I’m here.

We’d all be daft if we thought there was no risk involved.

I think Wagner have been in Mali for a number of years now and, from western media reports, seem to have been struggling with their logistics in the Ukraine.

I suspect it’s not their only pipeline.

What sanctions could the US place on Mali..?

I don’t think they could interfere with a deal between the Chinese… maybe heavier sanctions on raw material processing..?
