They have telegraph poles running down to the site. Not sure what the regulations are about running electricity and phone lines on the same poles are. The 440v lines to transformers are definitely airborne. Any work being done would have been evident anyway.

Angus are hardly likely to shoot themselves in the foot. as gas to wire is part of the planning application coming up. The generator, tanks, tranformers etc. will all be hired in so why pay for something you are not using. There is a 440v connection on School Lane which hasn't been touched according to my source.
