Businesses accused of charging rip-off fees for holiday coronavirus testing will not be tackled by the competition watchdog until after the summer break.
In a letter to Sajid Javid, the health secretary, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said it would report its recommendations “within the next month”. This is despite Javid asking it last week for a “rapid, high- level” review of “exploitative practices” among providers of private PCR tests.
Anyone know if the boxes that AffiDX are packed in are post box size? How many in each box...?? Sorry if I have missed this already.
Ah ok - understand.
There is some serious competition in the in-wheel market I would think. Need to research this more, but I would have thought the Chinese and Indian manufacturers would be all over this? No?
Anyone else having to repeatedly sign in? LSE seems to have fogotten me and will not retain a log in any longer, as of a day or two ago? Pain in the asre.
@Porker - interesting perspective. A claim vs GLP would be interesting but exceptionally difficult to make stick.
Key q for me is what's taken them (ABDX) this long to issue a publicly visible defense as to their expertise? The damage to the Abingdon brand here is really quite significant.
"In a spirit of openness and transparency the Company has today published this letter on its website." Anyone got a link to the letter mentioned in the RNS, as the one provided does not work?
Tripoddp, that is an awesome post. I have taken a copy, for posterity. What a shabby situation we have, it did not have to be this way.
Interesting. When did JAdam disappear? Why did he disappear? I've been away from LSE day-to-day for a while, but know some of the history. For entertainment and intrigue, I'd be pleased to know!
Cheeky, this opened below yesterday's close.
Paul Hill would likely get excited at a new way of watching paint dry!
Energyshares - agree. The references to global distribution are significant. AffiDX has the opportunity to become one of the few long term diagnostic LFD technologies that has a place in global pharmacy and at-home medicine cabinets for many years to come.
"Very limited shares available to buy…."; nbull1, very interested to know, from a technical pov, how you know this and how it is quantified. Please.
Toli, you might have forgotten your meds. Get some help.
Sorry, but what does Jelurida have to do with GST?
OK - will be interesting to see, re the API timeline anyway. Then they actually have to launch a business to make use of that licence and I don't see that we have any details yet about how that's going to work! Patience....
Do we know what timelines, even appx, are expected for GS Money/Send/Money.app/? All we know is Wise MPay is collaborating (whatever that really means), and that , GS Fintech Ltd and GS Fintech PTE Ltd subs have been set up and now we know too that GS Money and the GSend trademarks are registered, so someone is doing something, at least. LinkedIn shows Jack Bai and Shayne Tan as the only GST people. The accounts show they are spending <$2m on staff, most of which will be EMS, I imagine. So is anything actually happening? At what speed? Is there a corporate presentation anywhere? Are we basically doomed to an ongoing bleed (apart from occasional excitement like recently) simply because GST mentioned "blockchain" in the bitcoin frazzled times in February, until some time 2022?3? Any views?
Totally agree Jiffy. Been here for months now, they are treating us as numpties.
Who is Shayne?
