Perhaps they were getting questions from important investors and needed to release an update - but the wording to me suggests that the in-house work has already been completed and is already in validation testing with third party; so it is not clear why they didn't release this RNS earlier.

Perhaps they have found that that 3rd party testing is now going to take a little longer than they wanted to complete due to missing their expected 2023 slots booked for it.

Is that the 'bad' news out of the way?

could we be looking at a CBR/BaitBiotechnology update next.

Perhaps the delay that is frustrating us is with the CRO and what it needs to do to be ready for clinical trials ? - just a thought as the 2023 expectation was announced in the same RNS as the CRO's appointment.

Anyway re: the JPM Conference - I have continued to follow CARM this year, spin out from UPenn co-founder Saar Gill, and note that they are presenting at the JPM Conference on Thursday 11th - all good publicity for these therapies and the UPenn labs.

Yes, and if he wishes to share more current information with interested parties and friends at the JPM conference (including re Bait BioTechnology) then potentially we might be in line for an update by the 8th too.

Good to see that they have just recruited a new research associate, replacing one that finished in August.

Petroinvestor seems to be wanting back in - 'if this goes anywhere near 2p again'; as previously 'VERY confident' it won't go below 2p again.

But what wasn't mentioned in the recent RNS's - could we be due for some news on CDX?

A key takeaways for me from the RNS:

The science is no longer just about Vlad, and it's in-house. I think Michael Haugbro and Jessica Hang have brought a lot of new knowledge to enhance and develop the CBR project. In my opinion these are the new names to watch out for.

There's again been comments about Vlad and the running of the company. For me Vlad's oversight of the science aspect is essential - expertise very much needed on the Board of a pharmaceutical company. What I don't understand, and haven't for several years now, is why people are not questioning the apparent lack of contribution from other board members - in particular Peter Redmond.

I may be wrong but (and I quote the Hemogenyx website):

"Peter Redmond is a corporate financier with some 30 years’ experience in corporate finance and venture capital."

if so, wtf is he doing for his salary, these past few years (including Mint due diligence)! If you agree please help vote him out at the next AGM - he was nodding off at the last one. Votes against his reappointment at the last AGM seem to have had little effect on his performance.

If anyone who can vouch otherwise please advise; this matter frustrates me immensely and just perhaps my opinion is not justified.

Things that may accelerate the clinical trial and at this stage possibly require additional funding (though don't if either is practical in this field, but would be in some fields of business/regulation):

- engagement of a different external validation party who has current capacity, or priority/reduced turnaround testing time

- request for priority review by FSA

Not necessarily.

The Prevail investment monies were not ring fenced for clinical trial work, so maybe they used a portion of those to get through to now and this raise is to replenish what will be needed to pay to Prevail Info Works and get back into clinical trials and the funding round raise of which Prevail is a part.

From what we have been told I still think that CDX has a significant part to play (in the suite of products) - in the mid-year video Elina Shrestha mentioned that they had been continuing to progressing CDX towards clinical trials (it has multiple uses, so perhaps there is now focus on its use for a specific indication); and Vlad has mentioned a couple of times that they are in discussion with a couple of potential partners.

Remember Lupus that dropped off the radar without the update they said they expected to give after the AGM a few years ago.

Here's maybe why Hemo/Janssen did not pursue it further - there are now better CAR-T solutions for Lupus, and this work would probably have been in progress at that time:
