It works for me! I'm a sucker for all that erudition. (is there such a word?) I also like the riddles from the other side. It's good sport. I am surprised people don't see the value in Nigel's and Charlotte's contribution. I am not surprised they see no value in mine.
Have another look at Nigel's and Charlotte's most recent posts. The responses they get are not aligned to what is written.
The beauty is everyone will be proven correct. GRH states 85% COS, Nigel states 34%(from memory). Success or failure - they are both right.
In the interests of transparency I'm firmly in the 85% camp, perhaps a bit less, but I'm not going to show my working out because I am one of those with more money than sense that should not be allowed anywhere near a trading platform.
In a sea of red Save are holding up well today!
I think your timing is spot on. I went all in when the umbrella was signed. Bit premature! (as ever)
I hadn't seen this - thank you Billy.
27% very close to Caterham's low estimate of 28%. I don't know my turbidites from my troglodytes but probability is within my compass and multiplicative. 70-80% and 40-60% makes 28-48% COS by my calculations.
Without anything to back it up I am more confident than that. The gas is there, the customers are there, finance is there, we just need to know how quickly we can get it out of the ground. 2-5millisuper scuffs is all we need for commerciality. I fancy 50!
If i make it i will ask myself. If not could you ask him whether he agrees with me in that we are sat on a potential gold mine?
In addition, the Company is pleased to report that a historically key condition precedent has now been waived by the relevant syndicate member - in that it is no longer necessary to await that party's agreement with the Government on a particular policy matter, because of the significant progress made and good relationship between parties.
This aspect was my biggest concern (rightly or wrongly). To see that resolved is great news. I'm very positive after today's news
Thanks Jimmy - I couldn't think why I had 2022 in my mind for FID, so thanks for confirming it might not be a figment of my imagination. Surely that would prompt an uptick?
ps I had a gerbil as a kid, called him Ronnie after Mr Whelan. In later life i experienced whiz. I cannot imagine the two combined. I hope we meet one day.
Thanks Mr Gerbil and Mr Surfit. (or mrs of course) I will carefully reread the pdf and also look forward to Katy TV
Remind me. What do we need for the FID? That's due in 2022 i believe, from memory. What can we expect as next steps? What are we waiting on now? I got wrapped up in the updated CPR expecting a jump and forget what comes next! thanks
Doing nothing is something I specialise in! My instinct is to sit tight in this instance. I expect the upwards trend hasn’t finished. My question was probably broader than what to do right now with Dec. At what point should one think about selling an income share!? Which is of course an impossible question to answer. It depends! But I’m aligned with the thinking here. Catching the top and buying back is never easy I may consider it if we close in on 160 but I think you have it right Trek. Selling now risks missing out on any further rise and on the divi. And the divi is announced independent of the sp.
It's an interesting one. Of the funds i manage myself this is practically my only income share, most i own for expected growth. Ostensibly the sp is of secondary import if the divi is 4.25c per share. Sitting on a 30% profit it begs the question? Should i sell some? It is largely rhetorical by the way but interested to hear others thoughts / strategies
Quite. Why would we be providing electricity to the doba oil fields if we weren’t operating them!
I had a look today at my Char history. It seems like a few did! First purchase was 19.4p. Best purchase was 250,000 at less than 2p. Average now less than 8p. 1.25m of the rascals! I went all in when the CFO promised a 10x event. That felt significant.
Doing a Goober? Is that better or worse than doing a Gooner?
I’ve not sold either Jimzim! There was me thinking that sustained buying in volume by institutions would have a positive impact on the price. Shows what I know and have learnt this last 20 years!
i can scarcely believe it now but i was back at the pub waiting for it to open the next morning. Hair of the dog used to work very well for me. I'm teetotal these days! This was in the early '90s when i was at University!
Ha - no chance of 21 bottles of that brew! I managed 20 pints of bitter on one occasion. That was a long day though!
I remember drinking the 2l bottles of White Lightning, I couldn't do it these days. Even in my prime they were a test! It always felt like it was than just booze! Very different to Diamond White or K.
