We have a friend in the Adam Smith Insitute, who want a legal drug market in britain. Good luck with stockbuds kingskin. Hope to see you there.
If you're interested in high potency recreational extracts you may like this article about Organa Labs, "the largest producer of cannabis oils on the planet". It explains why 97% potency is better than 99%, what winterization is, and why they "activate" the THC-A. http://motherboard.vice.com/en_au/read/weed-oil-lab Worth a look for the pictures alone. The seven jars in a row remind of the displays of honey at a beekeepers group, but this stuff is three to five times the value of gold.
The same story from the Washington Post... www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/11/08/medical-marijuana-sails-to-victory-in-florida/?hpid=hp_hp-bignews6_marijuana-1220pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/08/state-ballot-initiative-election-results-live-marijuana-death-penalty-healthcare The future is green. California, the worlds fifth largest economy, is legalizing recreational cannabis. Mexico will surely follow soon.
http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/arthritis-sufferers-will-be-given-cannabis-plant-extracts-to-test-pain-relief-35179716.html Local news here is that the Ulster University is teaming up with Greenlight Medicines of Dublin. Together they're going to spend a million quid over five years to run trials with cannabinoids for arthritis, and other diseases and disorders. http://www.greenlightmedicines.com/sign-up/ "Clinical Trial submissions are currently closed" they say.

Many thanks to all who have posted regarding our forced move west. I bought my shares with the Halifax bank, so a special thank you to TheOptimist for your reassurance there. I'll let you know how the process goes when it happens. Good luck to everyone who is still figuring out the best solution for themselves. I'm holding onto my shares tightly as things are just starting to get interesting, though I did sell of a twelfth of them to fund a winter holiday in the sun, and a lean-to greenhouse for my cacti.
http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2016-06/si-crp062816.php This link is a story from the end of june, but I've included it in case anyone missed it. It's worth searching that website for the other cannabinoid articles too.
Sorry Kingskin, I hadn't heard of Pharmacielo before i came across that article, but thought it was interesting enough to share.

I see the NHS is to start trials with a CBD vape called Medipen... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/medipen-the-nhs-are-testing-a-cannabis-product-vaporiser-for-the-first-time-a7191511.html https://medipen.co/ £50 for 500 inhalations. This type of thing has been available for some time on Amazon, and I've never been personally interested, but I'm glad to see the NHS testing one.
I believe the psycho-activity of plant terpenes is still a largely unexplored area for science. The best known one is Salvinorin A from the unusual Mexican mint Salvia divinorum. Extracted and purified it's one of the most potent natural drugs ever discovered. Available up until the legal high ban. It's possible that cannabis terpenes could have effects on their own, but more likely they 'modulate' the way cannabinoids work. There will no doubt be some novel uses for them. If I had a company supplying vapists with their vaporizer refills I would experiment with cannabis terpene flavours. If I had a doughnut stall at a festival I would sell Super Lemon Haze doughnuts. UK border control have a habit of impounding deliveries of things that make them nervous though. They're so paranoid.
This is a good idea, inspired by GWP... http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/a-californian-company-is-shipping-a-cannabis-product-to-uk-homes-completely-legally It will be interesting to see how legislators respond to this one. Since the legal high ban UK head-shops are pushing the CBD extracts, so I would imagine these terpenes becoming just as common. I wish i had a laboratory. If you get your crystal balls polished you may want a trip to ladbrokes... https://www.pickandmixseeds.co.uk/blogs/cannabis-news/118310148-ladbrokes-has-put-3-1-odds-on-legalisation-by-2026 Buy some terpenes with your winnings.

Hebrew University in Jerusalem gave CBD to eight epileptic humans in 1980, and demonstrated anti-siezure activity. "Who cared about our findings? No one!" said Raphael Mechoulam. I've been meaning to research epilepsy death rates and such, to make an accurate estimate of lives lost to wasted medical potential. Thousands of children must have died or developed brain damage unnecessarily in the three and a half decades we've known this. The prohibitionists usually have 'think of the children' type arguments, so it would useful to portray them as child killers, harming innocents with their scientific ignorance. I'll try to make time to bring this up on epilepsy forums, and see what that patient community believe.
One of the simplest and smartest ideas I've seen in the last decade is pickandmixseeds.co.uk. In the old days a customer wanting weed seeds would purchase a packet with a minimum of ten or fifteen seeds for a tidy sum. Then someone had the bright idea to cut up the packaging, and sell each seed from the packet individually, with that original packaging fragment, to prove authenticity. They became the biggest retailer of cannabis seeds in the UK. I had a look at their website again. They now sell Sensi Seed's CBD oil. Also, you can see that CBD varieties are in fashion. Old brands, like Amsterdam's Greenhouse, are getting in on the act, crossing their bestsellers with CBD varieties to end up with the popular 50% THC, 50% CBD combination. Kind of a 'now with less psychoactivity' selling point.
