Just had an email that all Celebrity Constellation cruises cancelled for the year. This is up to the end of October.
No reason was given but probably due to the lack of demand for fly-cruises.
Saga is being very constructive with regard to the resumption of cruises and has come up with some great ideas.
I just don't see at the moment how you could take 800/1000 guests ashore in ports.
It's just not worth talking about until later in the year.

Sorry but we're not going to resume cruising in April and May. Nobody in the trade with half a brain cell is expecting cruising to resume until later this year. You then have the minefield of ports of call. The number of hurdles to go through is huge. Ports have reduced the fees for ships coming in to refuel etc. I think Southampton had reduced this to around the 14k mark. Its just going to take more time. Saga is fortunate to have other strings to its bow.

Trouble at the moment it's a postcode lottery. Parents in Dorset in 80s had vaccine around 2 weeks ago. Elderly relatives in Lancashire with bad health still waiting. Surgery has told patients not too phone about vaccine.
I think it shows how difficult this vaccine is administer and where you live.
