It should be good news for the banks as they will own the majority of a profit making piece of TC. At the end of the day and as my economics professor use to say the banks are only willing to offer a brolly on a sunny day. If the banks don’t see value in the airline they simply won’t agree to the recap deal and will push TC into admin.

@illbetabuck just give it a break, it’s a done deal dilution is too far away and I genuinely believe this is in the best interest of everyone as the end result is either dilution or admin. To this moment SH don’t appreciate the fact that being diluted is way better than getting wiped out and who knows maybe after the recap process is finalised and potentially and I express potentially, TC gets in a better position the SP could rise again to its historical levels

Illbetabuck obviously has a short position and paulonearth is heavily invested, one deramps and the other ramps. Their views is purely speculative and what is going to happen is 1000% depending on what terms TCG, Fosun and the banks agree.

While I don’t wish any harm for SH, I do believe that dilution will take place very soon, TCG is on the brink of collapse and without the recap, admin will be the end result

What you should have known by now is that there’s an inverse relation between FX and equities so when the £ tanked it gave a good support for british shares. Besides what you should have stated yesterday is the irrational spike in the SP given there has been a market sell-off thanks to trump and bojo latest comments. One thing you have to bare in mind is that this SP is no longer driven by macro or micro factors so save the business laws etc BS

@Illbetabuck while I always very pessimistic about the state to TCG but always wished SH good luck and many times stated that I hope this is another 2011 for them and that they can recuperate their losses. Reading your posts makes me sick instead of wishing them good luck all what you’re doing is scaremongering them!! I was expecting at least that you wish them the best of luck and that their dire come to an end

@upandaway It did hurt indeed this is why i gave up on trading shares and trade Fx instead, as any company’s BOD are willing to throw SH under the bus with a blink of an eye

I had 80K in debenhams, at some point they were worth 8K so it wasn’t worth salvation and took my chances to see through a deal being striked between MA and debenhams, but there was too much corporate politics involved. Ever since I decided to go into FX spread betting instead. At least you don’t risk getting wiped or going into admin.

@Soutar I’m sorry to hear that mate while I’m not optimistic here but I genuinely don’t wish SH any harm, I’m sure a lot of SH are in the same situation as you as the SP tanked so badly. It’s not my place to advice you but i see no alternative for you than to hold if whatever is left of your position isn’t worth salvaging
