I had a look at SpectrumX and was put off by two things.
1) HOCL has been around as a disinfectant for decades, and is already sold in the UK as a hand sanitiser for example. So I don't see anything new in what they are doing at all. There are other companies in this space already well ahead of them. Maybe their pill is something magic but that's a total gamble - maybe I would take the bet if I like their track record but:
2) My research of the CEO, he claims to be a serial entrepreneur who sold a telecoms business for millions, I can't find any details of that whatsoever - Companies House shows a couple of companies that did nowt, and a less than flattering tabloid article saying it actually went into liquidation. His LinkedIn doesn't have any employment history before Spectrum X. That is very odd for an entrepreneur who are usually very proud to show off their past record. For that alone I was out, I want to see a track record of success. He clearly is very wealthy, see his instagram full of partying in Ibiza, but I'm not convinced that will translate to delivering for shareholders.

Maybe I'm missing something but I would take advantage of any post-IPO bounce and get out quick.

Average around a quid and not selling a share until diamonds are actually coming out of Thorny River - expect/hoping for between a 5 and 10 bag.

One has to take any company's house broker's price target with a pinch of salt of course but it's hard to argue and all signs point to a re-rate. Their analysis doesn't even include a value for what is likely to be the most valuable asset of all. Just wish I'd had the cash to tuck into more shares a month ago.

Really like how they are pro-actively updating shareholders - think I saw Leslie say somewhere they would be looking to do that. Nothing particularly new here but bodes well and a good indication of how the board plan to operate IMO.

Only annoying thing is I was planning to top up today, don't think I'll get quite the value I was hoping.

Stockopedia gives every stock a label like that based purely on its financials and charts, not taking into account anything else about a company, for example if it is a turnaround under new management. So it's semi-useful at-a-glance but no more than that. But I suspect you knew that already.

I'm assuming the opening of a stope in itself probably wouldn't be RNS-worthy, and we'll have to wait for the next trading/production update for news of progress on that front?

Just wondering as I've seen the CEO talk of expecting 5/6 open by year end but no concrete news of more than one at the mo.

I’m beginning to wonder whether the company is being held back by the CEO’s style. Huge kudos for the success he’s had in his career to date, but I wonder if his skills are better suited to structuring and running the operations of the company internally than being its figurehead. He just seems so uninspiring. And so many umm’s and aah’s. At least get him on some training courses!

People talk about the multi-bag potential here but can you seriously see DP as the CEO of a billion-pound dual-listed company? I don’t know - thoughts?

Any idea why Gem Diamonds would rather sell than re-open it themselves? From what (admittedly little) I know about them they seem like a v profitable outfit, so would have the cash to do it if they wanted.

Agree great that we are diversifying and acquiring.

Bought in today at 3.65 after researching this week. Thanks to those who have posted useful info and the Peterkin interview etc. The board's track record and the business model here are compelling to me.

A) or C). I can't imagine JC wanting to sell so soon after spending so long to get to this stage, and he has spoken before about the balancing act between requiring fundraising for developing the resource and not diluting existing shareholders too much.

So I think he's working on a strategy to raise money to maximise the potential here, whilst looking after our interests. Very happy to be onboard for the ride ahead.
