mtuk.not sure.but what use could they have after that .maybe ask the company .look on fund website for info of phone number.i would guess the reason for low price is the fact no one would want them.
Thinking at some point the fund was buying ss shares to convert to ordinary shares to keep in treasury but that would have been finate due to the cost to be honest all quite confusing before you research further
i suppose if you are really loaded it would be ok to buy some to convert but after the 29th these would be worthless as the ss shares were given as a bonus in 2013 with an exercise date before the 29th of april 2016. .as always research before hand pays in this type of share.
mtuk .on the interactive investor news feed .These are subscription shares .The last date to convert them is the 29th apri 2016 .This is the final chance to convert them into. ordinary shares. which would cost around £2.48 per share .subscription shares carry no dividend .they are just rights to buy ordinary shares .They have had conversion periods over the last three years 11 in total the 29th april being the final chance to convert ss shares eg 5000ss share would cost you 12.5k to hold 5000 ordinary shares.
looking at these.understand the company intent to buy back the shares outstanding .as of december general meeting.so may be worth buying some before the 29th of april.
