RE: Calling for clearance16 Feb 2024 18:44
Dark hero,
The simplest explanation would be question marks over how funding CART trials will be structured. Cash reserves are low and there is no clarity yet on where the money for these trials will come from. Some have suggested a placing is imminent, but others feel the level of funding needed will not be achievable via this route. I personally side with the latter, but understand the concerns of some as we have seen poor funding choices here before.
Previously, some good news has been immediately followed by a raise, so some will be concerned news has been released to raise the share price prior to placing.
Perhaps some had already factored in the clinical hold being lifted prior to confirmation from the FDA, given that there was a steady rise from 2.5 to 4p leading up to the hold being lifted.
As for CBR, Wednesdays news was completely new, but the more astute investors here will recall that the first reports of using it to treat brain cancer by passing the treatment through the blood brain barrier was already leaked late last summer, so todays RNS was not entirely new, though it certainly did add further information not previously known.
I suspect, as many others do, that once the funding issue is communicated to the markets then they will respond positively (assuming it doesn’t come via significant dilution).
In the meantime, people will speculate and play on this to suit their own end, with perhaps some profits being taken from those who have a low average and are weary of a potential, if unlikely, significant dilution.
These are my own thoughts only, others will no doubt have their own opinions.
