Does that mean votes need to be cast by 8th November? If so, christ on a bike, doesn't give em long to get that rabbit out of the hat!
Im hearing heavy speculation the Chinese will make a move on Taiwan in the spring. Any Chinese suitor will want to make a move before then to avoid being bogged down in geopolitics. Q1 looking even more likely for things to kick off IMHO. C
Couldn't agree more Bozi.
I 'hope' potential suitors have had enough time to look at the assets that Solg can announce an end of Q1 deadline for the strataegic review soon enough. That would spice things up a bit.
.. also, would like to see us get past the election on the 15, give suitors another 4 or 5 weeks to let the dog see the rabbit and snoop round the assets , then put an end date on the strategic review of the end of Q1. That would likely make for an easier AGM for the management. Either way, they must have something up their sleeve and Bob knows the drill. Cheers, C
When he says 'at 17' think he means in 2017 when the price was approaching 50p from memory as thats we he sold half his position. Not sure he ever sold at 17p. Good to hear him going on record saying in the next 6 months this will be sold. Not a great week here but let's hope for a bit of Yazz tomorrow. C
Another b100dy article about copper demand. FFS, get sick of reading them. Will someone get their f1ng3r out of their ar5e and just buy this s0dding thing. C

'Gegs', you mean gigs surely? Should have gone to SpecSavers '84. Lol
Apologies Elro, typo on my behalf, definitely meant end of Q1 '24. 44 now and should know better than to not have my glasses on when posting - still, that's 26 years sat in front of a computer for you, my eyes are rubbish these days.
I get peoples frustrations here but Bob's played this game before and knows the playroom, I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but for sure he could do with a lesson in expectation management.
Gone put myself out there and forecast another dull week finish Friday at 13.5 p. Drip drip, bring on the new year once all the permits and the investment protection are tied up. C
Fair point RK, I asked this question in a not so pointed fashion to WI myself. I won't quote his answers verbatim as I've not got time to go back right now, but in essence;
1 The political situation delayed things
2 It's a big build and is a complex engineering task and requires a lot of DD
3 Solg is best placed to close out all remaining land purchase negotiations, permits and the investment protection agreement. A good chunk of this should be boxed off in the next 3 months as per Scott's update last week.
He also thinks Scott's revised mine plan is a good idea, never doubting the asset but let's face it any suitor is going to like the lower initial Capex incremental approach. Basically all this leads him to believe we'll be in good shape in the New Year for some sort of sale by the end of Q1.
There's going to be lots of his conversation with Scott he didn't disclose but ultimately if he thinks a Q1 25 sale looks likely from here and is will to disclose as much to me then that's a good thing in my book. I'm happy to hold and see how this plays out in the NY.
Between now and then us the AGM, a no doubt the exec know a lift I'm the SP will help buy them that pass for another 12 months so will have a few cards to play between now and then.
Have a good afternoon all. C
I wouldn't worry about nationalisation Elro, hardly the way to attract much needed foreign investment. Had a few messages back and forth with Warren Irwin over the last few days, he caught up with Scott in Denver. Not a huge amount to write home about but worth sharing....
'Had a good meeting with him. Little by little he is moving the ball forward with the usual suspects. Hopefully sold by the end of Q1.'
By him he means Scott. To be clear the last comment is Warren's, not Scott's. If Warren hopes were sold by the end of Q1 then that gives me confidence things are moving in the right direction behind the scenes.
Cheers all. C
Fair points Bozi, however I'm relaxed about it for now as we're only just post elections and in what I'll term 'bid territory'. Prior to this there would have been lots of interest but as soon as the elections were announced, that for me put a stop on things in terms of any potential bid for ENSA or the whole lot. If we get to Feb next year and no substantive offer has materialised then I think we really are backed into a corner and I will start to fear for my investment. So in summary Bozi, I'd add a 'for now' to truly reflect my feelings towards Solg.
378k sterling to be precise NAL, my average is circa 19p. Don't choke on your cornflakes luv, it's not by biggest investment and I'm relaxed about it. C
NAL, the efforts you go to do make me laugh.
Yes, my total holding is over 2 mil shares, more in the wider family.
Family member used to be in 3 para, 1 para then served in SAS. I now run a company that supplies to government in the security sphere so lots of ex militarily contacts, a few of which are ex special forces or signals especially as we do a lot of work close to Herefordshire.
The contact you doubt will likely gleen nothing new and even if he does may not divulge as much to me, but hey ho, I will try my best to get as much out of his chat as I can. But he will definitely be talking to Scot as he's also got skin in the game here, and multiples more than me.
If you think I'm a Walter Mitty type then I really couldn't give one, consider maybe we just mix in different circles. Sounds like you are one of those people who have a chip on their shoulder about people having success - met a few of your type before.
Have a fab day NAL. Wierdo
Denver Gold Forum next week. I've got a contact who pencilled in some one to one time with Scott. Fingers crossed there's news as the last few weeks have been slow to say the least. C
How certain are you of the news '84? As certain as you were with the exploration agreement? C
@Tesla, Solg are advancing Cascabel in readiness for a sale of that asset ( likely, but nothing guaranteed ), exploring drilling opportunities in the North. Scaled back and a sensible approach given thr strategy.
If you're going to come on here again and pass comment, get you're facts straight or you just look stupid. C
Technicals starting to look promising...

Unfortunately this strikes me as the start of a pr campaign to PIs to gain support for the AGM which could now only be 12-14 weeks away. Still a while to go by the sounds of it. Frustrating but I'm still going to hold as the medium term still looks bright. C
Denver Gold Show 17th September onwards, Solg are there. At thus rate I don't think we'll get anything new to boost the SP, but you just never know! C
Not got contact details but I'm sure you could work it out based on other email addresses at cornish metals as that's where he's gone to...http://www.cornishmetals.com/
