I fear yesterday's rise will be very short lived! :-(
This is one of my smaller holdings, so lost track of where this is upto in terms of the resubmission, anyone got any ideas? Thanks. C
Take what you will from the 'fool', however wherever the source, its good to know there are others out there who's thoughts are aligned:

Big week. C
@Kullumama, THG has plenty of talented techies and their tech is very good, im a an experienced techie who knows a a fair few of the contractors who have worked their over the years and they are all excellent, their recruitment process only ensurd high quality engineers made the grade, and as for leadership, techies notoriously don't make great leaders so their is little weight in your Musk comment.
Its interesting to read some of the comments on here this morning regarding the treatment of high growth tech companies and how its going to impact where businesses float in years to come. I have regular chats with a close friend of mine about where he is going to list his high growth tech company in the near future, after his Manchester based data integration business recently completed series d funding with a 1.5 billion dollar valuation. I've advised him to seriously consider going to the US as the city just don't get high growth tech, and the press are off the chart vindictive. Matt M has definitely made mistakes with some of the nuances of the deal to take THG public, but the attacks on him are just horrendous, and are now going that far that the press are starting to look reveal themselves as the jealous vindictive jobsworths they really are.
I have a small proportion of my PF in THG as the current valuation is too cheap, and I wouldn't blame MM for taking this private again and going to the US in a couple of years time as it would be a massive F U to the short sighted City.
As for future listing, well the treatment of THG and Darktrace will definitely have am impact on UK listings, which is a shame as CEOs want to help their own and support the UK, but the mentality of the city simply doesn't allow their companies to flourish.
My money is on THG smashing their numbers again and MM taking THG private for less that £4.20 a share in the next 6 months which will be a sorry end to THGs UK listing.

Have a great day all. C
Are the volume metrics reported on LSE accurate? 2.5 * more buys than sells on NEX yesterday, and about 4 * more buys than sells on SGC? Now, they could be large orders that got reported at the end of the day, hence closing prices, but by my economics, the SGC share price should have seen a decent rise today, not a fall.... unless the buy / sell volumes are innaccuarate?
Any thoughts guys & gals? C
@CHRI55. This is not a valie trap. NEX is a well run business which pre-pandemic had a stable share price over multiple years and paid a good dividend based on a sound business model diversified in many countries. The pandemic hit the business hard, reflected in the sp drop. Humanity has made great strides towards defeating this awful disease that has robbed so many and the latest therapeutic developments mean we now have multiple tools to keep CV at bay and mitigate its impact on companies such as NEX. If covid is kept at bay, the nex sp will rise. Only this week the Pfvizer CEO stated the US pandemic will be all but over by January. I expect the remaining shorts to be closed next week and the reopening trades to have a good run through to next March now. This is just the start of a steady rise so have a think. C

Just taken a small position of 1500 shares here as think this hammering has been over done. Let's face Q3 numbers were good, they have obviously taken on board a lot of the criticism and make swift changes to governance processes to turn things around. They are also in the eight industries, beauty, nutrition and tech. I think Matt M and the management have learnt some harsh lessons over recent weeks and it will be interesting to see how the company continues to respond. I'll watch this one carefully and add if I start to feel confidence returning. All the best all and for those who are well down, things can change quickly, especially this time of year. ATB, C
@Chris, just diving onto a board and posting links to negative articles is just plain petty, what are you six or something? If you're going to take out a short position and want to shout about it, back it up with some reasons why its gonna impact the stock, as the whole point of bulletin boards is to help each other make money, or stop us losing it as a minimum. Can you do us all a favour and go and enlighten some other poor soles with your wisdom. Good luck with life. C
'Postitive' was exactly the word I thought too. Like the way fuel is hedged and the open dialogue around driver wage increases. Should lead to a green day with futures looking good. C
Based on the wording of the initial release to the markets some three weeks ago now, my opinion is that this deal was fairly well progressed and has a good chance of coming off. Have a good day all. C
Technicals say buy....

Could be an interesting couple of weeks here with Stagecoach takeover news, results ( 14th ), and capital markets day ( 18th ). I've gone big and added another chunk to the pf last week at 2.29. Fingers crossed! C
just added another 55k shares. Happy to commit at these prices as in 2 weeks, we will be 260+ again IMHO. Have a great day all. C
Slightly regretting cashing out all of my BP stock at 341, feel free to call me a bed wetter! Congrats to all that have held over the last few days as it sounds like there is a way to go yet if you listen to the CNBC commentary on the Fast Money podcast
( great daily listen for me) Enjoy oilers! C
#metoo... sold all my 71k shares today at 3.41. Really happy with that and definitely think this can go higher, but its been a great run and the number of times I have kicked myself for not taking profits made me act today. I'm sure there will be opportunity to buy back in but its great to see this sector finally getting some recognition
for the business and environmental journey they are all on to one degree or another. As Arnie said, I'll be back... all the best. C
The sp can be walked down to fulfill a decent size order so don't panic. Once that's complete, you will usually see a steady climb back up to reflect the new market position. C
After keeping an eye on POLX over the recent months and listening to Richard several times on VOX, I decided to take the plunge and buy in here yesterday. Looking forward to the results over the coming weeks, and wish everyone all the best with their investment. It's nice to think you are investing in a company trying to make a real medical breakthrough that will improve the outcomes of many. ATB, C
@goose i was wondering whether to trim my position in bp too, but Natural Gas is on the tear and Morgan Stanley have just upped their price target on poo to $90. I'm gonna leave these too cook a while longer I think.
Shame about the start here today, however it looks like all the travels are getting wacked.
Let's hope for a pickup from here after a decent lat few days. C
'The bigger the base, the further in space' I think the saying goes. We've hovered in this circa 300p range for ages and I too think BP is due to breakout towards 350 over the coming weeks. GLA, C.
I know sentiment is poor, but come early October the markets will be hotting up again and trading update and capital markets day should be the catalyst for this to rise again. By alls means wait, but of i were you, no matter what I wouldn't wait too long and miss the opportunity. We should see 330+ again before April IMHO, so why wait at these prices when there is such upside? C
Wonder what the short position will look like at the end of the day. Bet there are a few having a difficult day at AKO capital. If they start covering them, this will be an additional catalyst. C
