Not buying shares even though it's a supposedly a great investment bargain -> he's an idiot -> you have an idiot for a ceo -> kromek is a bad investment

Not buying shares because he knows its a bad investment -> kromek is a bad investment

Both logic paths lead to the same conclusion. Am I wrong?

If you look at the 10 year share price it's pretty pathetic. Also the rights issues. Basically he has been doing the exact opposite of what your supposed to do. Increase the share price and give dividends to investors. He has deceased the share price and taken more money from investors with his rights issues.

Its not a going concern. Maybe Basu is doing it on purpose now so he can get it private at a knock down price.

Basu is the problem. Kromek is basically Basu's extension of his huge ego. He even wrote an article once completely being disrespectful and criticising investors. He has no desire to make money for his investors. He just cares about research papers and winning grant funding. That's what makes him happy. Until he leaves which is impossible, as Kromek == Basu and Basu == Kromek then it will just be pot luck what happens. Why doesn't everyone just go to a casino and put their money on black. It's better odds. Who knows when a rights issue might come up. When Basu has a mad scientist moment like doing that covid air detector machine. Or the respirator thing from Japan.

One thing that confuses and worries me is the free float. It is 57.72%. Can someone explain who owns the rest? Is it Basu? I'm worried because it means even if all the publicly traded shareholders got together they would need almost uniamimous voting to make any changes to hold Kromek is run.

The only hope for Kromek is if they get some sort of decent commercial director, who focuses on getting the company to increase profits. Basu is totally obsessed with research - for example that crazy COVID detector thing, what the hell happened to that? Have they actually sold any of these to make any profit?

Basu is still in academic mode. All these research grants, he should stop going after those. He is just using us shareholders as a vehicle for his academic research. We need a commercial director who can stand up to him and rein him in.
