The only hope for Kromek is if they get some sort of decent commercial director, who focuses on getting the company to increase profits. Basu is totally obsessed with research - for example that crazy COVID detector thing, what the hell happened to that? Have they actually sold any of these to make any profit?
Basu is still in academic mode. All these research grants, he should stop going after those. He is just using us shareholders as a vehicle for his academic research. We need a commercial director who can stand up to him and rein him in.
Oh no,
Herald Investment Management Limited increasing their shareholding must have been perceived by the market as "excellent" news.
Brace brace brace, imminent rights issue soon!
Say goodbye to another chunk of out hard earned cash.
Kromek shareholders must be the only group of people who sell when there is good news. Why is that? Because they are scared. Because Basu did that last time. There was some good news, then
he did a rights issue.
If Elon Musk said he would fit a Kromek radiation detector in all new Tesla cars, the share price would actually go down. Because Basu would probably say he needs more money to ramp up production. That's what would happen for sure.
I don't this. Why the price went down after the trading update?
Also the yield is now 30%. They confirmed the next dividend payout at 0.875$.
Basically if you buy a share, if the dividend is maintained, you will make your money back in 3 years. After that, you've got a share in basically for free. So basically the market doesn't think DE will survive for 3 years? Please can someone explain to me
Someone could make a fortune doing the exact opposite of my stock picking.
Cross over, children. All are welcome. All welcome. Go into the light
Oh no, it's going down again 😭
Please mick33 buy some now to push the price up 🙏 my retirement fund depends on it please
Yay, the share price hasn't gone down for a couple of days wooooo hoooo

If you want to know why the share price is going south, Canaccord have dumped some shares to reduce their holding from 12.74% to 9.2856%. Maybe more dumping soon.
Ha. Ha ha. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Skid35,
Oh yes your right on point 2 on the conversion price, but as you say it will mean further dilution of the current 600,000,000 shares already in issue lol. I think I'm right on points 1 and 3 though.
"Carrying a fixed interest rate of 9.5% payable quarterly in cash or shares, the refinancing was hailed by chief executive Arnab Basu ..."
1. Why did Basu ask if it could be repaid in cash or shares? That is really worrying. This shows he has 0 confidence in being able to generate any free cash to pay the interest. Why would you ask "err you know, would it be possible to pay you in shares like if you know, we can't pay you in cash?"
2. Why such a low price for the shares. 1p. Couldn't he have said 2p? 1.5p? Basically that's what Basu thinks it's worth to make it attractive to the crazy loan shark.
3. In any case, when it comes to repay (every quarter), do you think Basu is going to pay cash, that might jeopardise paying his 200k salary, or just issue some worthless paper? He is going to do the latter and dilute us even more. Hence: Get. Out. Now
I don't understand Ark87 too why he has managed to keep his 200k p/a job. I thought shareholders owned the company? Why do the big shareholders like kick him out. It's a mystery.
Top 3 mysteries of the universe (in order)
1. How has Basu kept his job
2. Why did the universe come into existence
3. How did life begin on Earth
Wow, now hitting rock bottom, issuing new shares at 1p. Does Basu have any shame whatsoever? Scientists should study his brain, as a medical science freak. Or be put into a circus freak show. "Behold, the man with no shame". Gasps for air will be heard throughout the audience as he is wheeled out for display.

Let's brace ourselves for another Simon Thomson write up.
Let's brace ourselves for another rights issue
I actually bought back in on the recent rise.
Surprise surprise another false dawn and I've lost money AGAIN.
Final results out today.
I don't think the market was impressed with an INCREASE in the loss from the previous year.
"Loss before tax was £7.3m (2022: £6.1m loss)"
Basically, this SP is not going to move north anytime soon. I think the market would want to wait to at least see the trajectory of the losses reducing. You could sell and come back in 11 months time, do something with that money, buy back in and the SP will be the same 5p.
Hey mike33 what's your real name? It's Arnab Basu isn't it! Ha ha you've been found out! Dude, get on the phone and do some cold calling! Please try to make a profit! My life savings depend on it!
