Fantastic move into the 20's this week...i did say it would happen.
There are 4 big pieces of news coming up that will drive this higher IMO:
- Fullscale fillet main event around mid-April
- US listing, again around mid to late April
- Further commercial contracts of City-Mix
- Cultured leather
All 4 of these can be a huge driver of the SP in their own right but when we have all 4 coming together then this can be a perfect storm.
Market conditions not good again today obviously so impressed we've managed to push on tbh.
Just got to ask yourself where you see this in a month or 2 with the US listing coming up, along with the full scale fillet news and further City-Mix commercial contracts.
I'm very very confident it will be higher than it is now.
Indeed I did, very pleased to get that top up at super cheap price.
Huge news regarding the listing in US as it will give BSFA more liquidity and more importantly exposure over there as we are way ahead of most companies in this space.
They're saying could be done in next 6 weeks or so which coincides nicely with the full scale pork fillet news. Going to be very exciting few weeks here as expecting other news as well in the meantime.
Think we'll be in the 20's this week.
Looks like you've bought in Beechknot...you know it makes sense.
Yes huge news, will be a big step for the company trading in the US, far more and higher investment levels over there in this industry.
This is only going one way imo.
It's only 6 weeks to go now until the main event - full scale pork fillet being cooked in front of a live audience and worlds media.
I'd be very surprised if we dipped back below 14p again Beechknot.
Pleased with my 14.28p top up earlier, even though it meant averaging up.
Have to disagree barnet. Yes it's taken a bit of a hit in last couple of weeks but that is mainly due to perceived funding issues and a lull in between fillet steak news.
With the recent news of first commercial City-Mix deal done and at least 2 more to follow shortly then this will provide short term liquidity. They will obviously need further funding and they have said that will come in the form of private placement or strategic partnership. I'm very confident they would be done of good terms for the company.
The worlds first full scale fillet steak is going to be cooked in front of a live audience with the worlds media watching in around 6-7 weeks time. I don't think it will be long until we'll be climbing back up again.
Investors are throwing cash at this sector and we have an mcap of £13 million. Our peers are valued at 10x what we are yet we are way ahead of the competition.
Think you've hit the nail on the head there aimgambler. The good news is bsfa have said they have secured 1 commercial deal so far of City-Mix and at least another 2 in April.
This is fantastic news and I believe they'll be several more to follow. Only issue is like you say we have no idea on contract amounts. I don't think they'll be huge amounts initially but I also think they'll be decent enough to not need a placing.
Like you say would be good of the company to cone out and say either way.
With the full scale fillet a matter of weeks away this is pretty much derisked imo as when that gets hyped up the sp will defo be rising above 20p.
Then get leather news to come as well so plenty of news to come imo.
Not sure where you have the info it only takes 4 weeks to grow.
You need to manage expectations, I think looking at mid April at earliest for the meat. Don't forget we're talking about a full-scale fillet here. Pretty sure they themselves said it will be sometime in April in an interview.
A fantastic RNS today, the company making real progress with City-Mix. One commercial agreement already made with more in the offing in April, this could well kick on from here.
Still expecting an update on the lab grown leather some time soon.
Then of course we have the full scale pork fillet currently growing in the lab. This is going to be a huge show case event so expect news on how h that is going before long. Expecting the showcase event round end of April so not long to go.
I think a strategic partnership would be a great way to go. I messaged yesterday the tie-up between CellX and Tofflon to build a a cultivated meat pilot plant in China. Big deals are currently being made in this sector and we are at the fore front so i don't think it's behind the realms that we could be involved in something similar.
Interesting that Myles McNulty has tweeted this morning that BSFA have turned down multiple funding offers from various parties over the past 3 months.
I'm expecting any raise to be either at market price or at a premium.
Strategic partnership been announced between Chinese cellular company CellX and food manufacturer Tofflon to build first cultivated meat pilot plant in China.

So much money pouring into this industry at the moment. The cultivated meat market predicated to be worth $25 billion by 2030, that's just 7 years away.
BSFA are literally industry leaders here. A strategic partnership of some sort would be huge.
And all for £14 million mcap...crazy.
Unfortunately it seems most folk are traders these days and just sell out on news. With the full-scale fillet news potentially 2-3 months away then they have gone chasing rainbows elsewhere.
I suspect though we'll get news on other fronts which will catch people by surprise.
Pretty sure in the the interviews they have said it will be in 2-3 months so I'm reckoning April or May. Doesn't bother me as like you say plenty of other news in the pipeline coming our way.
I emailed the BBC earlier this morning. I find it incredulous it didn't get a single mention on any news report or on any part of their website.
They should be celebrating the fact a British company is leading the way in this field. I said they are now producing a full scale fillet which will be cooked live in a showcase event in April/May time, and that I hoped their coverage for that event will be a lot more extensive.
I'm defo expecting some sort of bounce next week, although wouldn't be surprised to see us slip into 16's on Monday before buyers start wrestling back control.
I'm surprised it's fallen back as much as it has. I think news coverage could have been a bit more extensive.
Do a Google search for lab grown meat and there are loads of recent articles about companies in this space but a long way off producing the real deal. We have just created the world's first 100% meat fillet steak and it doesn't even get a mention by the BBC!! I mean ffs!
However I firmly believe this will snowball over the coming weeks + with further news expected from their other divisions then won't be too long before back over 20p.
I'll be buying more on Monday as like you say this price is a gift.
